Lastly, you will see how the App is shaping the future of flight path optimization (FPO) incorporating pilot-dispatcher real-time collaboration functionalities, from visualizing the route, to discussing and approving the route all in the App, everything is synchronized between pilots and dispatch.
The 60-minute webinar will bring you the below key insights:
- How dispatchers´ critical minutes are no longer wasted in switching apps and monitors. Benefit from the all-in-one app, combining flight tracking, flight monitoring, weather data, and dispatcher-pilot communication.
- The power of situational awareness design – how complex data is easily visualized, rationalized, prioritized, and addressed in the fastest ways. See how dispatchers are managing more, with less stress.
- Availability of global traffic and FAA TMI and advisories.
- Introducing the latest feature novelties, including predictive data, advanced weather products, web & mobility version, and much more.
- How the App prepares for tomorrow’s flight tracking products – the new reality of pilot-dispatcher collaboration. See how the solution is streamlining flight trajectory optimization (FTO), not only presented as a visualization in the flight tracking app but also equipping dispatchers to actively collaborate with the pilot.
The Webinar is divided into 4 key sections:
- SITA Mission Watch Overview and Industry Challenges:
First you will see a quick overview of SITA Mission Watch and how it addresses key challenges facing dispatchers by combining flight tracking, flight monitoring, weather data, and dispatcher-pilot communication in the all-in-one App solution. Dispatchers´ critical minutes are no longer wasted in switching apps and monitors, enhancing situational and weather awareness, compliance, and decision-making capabilities should any problems arise at any time, with any flights, thus promoting safer and more efficient flight operations. - SITA Mission Watch Demo 1: Core Functionalities – Flight Tracking, Alerts, Pilot Comms, more:
Next you will see an overall demo of the solution showing the core functionalities, from flight tracking and flight monitoring, to weather data, real-time dispatcher-pilot communication, and advanced situational awareness design. Key functionality you will see includes how dispatchers and pilots communicate in real-time over ACARS messaging to resolve issues such as, an airport runway closure or a particular weather hazard ahead and how to re-route. For CDPLC, you will see how dispatchers can follow the pilot’s communication with ATC via uplink – downlink to increase awareness.
You will also see the power of the situational awareness design, and how complex data is easily visualized, rationalized, and prioritized in one App, so dispatchers are managing more, with less stress. You will see how dispatchers can quickly identify the set of flights that require immediate attention, via the alert visualization and alert panels, and how dispatchers can easily filter information to a customized view for optimum efficiency, for example a dashboard showing pre-departure flights or those flights en-route, filtered by alert type and severity, and more.
As you will see, instead of monitoring all flights manually, dispatchers only receive alerts for deviations that require intervention. For example, if a flight deviates from its optimal fuel consumption plan, the system alerts the dispatcher, who can then suggest adjustments (altitude change, speed modification, etc.). Or if there is a significant weather event detected ahead on the flight’s route, the dispatcher will receive an alert and can suggest a deviation. - SITA Mission Watch Demo 2: New Functionalities – FAA TMI, Predictive Data, Mobile App, more:
Next the SITA team will showcase some new features including global traffic displays, FAA TMI, predictive data, high-resolution weather, and web and mobile versions. You will see how the App now provides global traffic and FAA TMI advisories, thus allowing all airlines flying in and out of FAA airspace to best comply with FAA regulations. With this data integrated, dispatchers are able to react quickly on replanning flights to align with different FAA airspace restrictions.
You will see how the solution leverages advanced ML to provide more accurate predictions regarding landing times and taxi-in times; and new advances to the high-resolution weather data down to 1km grid resolution with hourly updates. Finally, you will see the new web and mobile versions which provide simpler installations and allow access from anywhere. These also unlock the possibility of integrating FPO solutions to be synched with the pilot’s App. - SITA Mission Watch Demo 3: The Future of Flight Path Optimization (FPO) – Pilot-Dispatch Collaboration:
Lastly you will see how SITA Mission Watch is shaping the future of Flight Path Optimization. Airlines are increasingly demanding streamlined solutions allowing the dispatch tool to collaborate with the pilot tool, to optimize the flight path during cruising stage. Dispatchers should be able to visualize the flight optimization recommendations, and also collaborate with the pilot via backend workflow integration. As you will see the App allows for real-time collaboration between dispatchers and pilots, in one system, for flight trajectory adjustments, which can also include dynamic routing and fuel efficiency collaboration.
