   You will see the EFB App in pre-flight showing the route, optimum flight levels and high-resolution weather including CAT, SIGMETS, METAR/TAF, convective thunderstorms, Nat tracks. The clear air turbulence, and hazardous weather such as thunderstorms is clearly shown both in the horizontal and the vertical view.
   
   – Climb-Out and Cruise:
   AVTECH kicks in once the aircraft is rolling down the runway.  The aircraft performance is now set so that the system now simulates the flight in advanced ground computers which optimize all phases of flight in real-time calculating the most cost effective, and safe flight plan.

The Webinar begins with a look at the challenges facing aviation, with weather uncertainty a major concern. Adverse weather is increasing, both in intensity and frequency; and overall global weather patterns are becoming more extreme, with record warm and cold temperatures across the world. Furthermore, significant turbulence incidents are more frequent, plus the increasing severity of Clear Air Turbulence (CAT) exacerbates these issues.   Next you will see demos of SITA Mission Watch focusing on the key functionality.  As you will see, SITA Mission Watch is a comprehensive flight tracking tool, you will see how it displays real-time aircraft positions from various sources like Terrestrial/VHF ADS-B, Space ADS-B, ACARS, and ADS-C, making it suitable for all airlines with any fleet and on-board connectivity; plus conforming to the ICAO GADSS Flight Tracking mandate.
  
  
• SITA Mission Watch Demo 2 – Key Functionality: Monitoring
  Then you will see the extensive monitoring capabilities through displaying a map with aircraft and airports and then adding weather information sourced from multiple channels, including 4D forecasting capabilities with the functionality to track severe weather events such as Clear Air Turbulence (CAT) en-route. You will see how dispatch and pilots can monitor weather conditions as they evolve, for multiple selected flights, and can view the expected position of aircraft across the flight duration and map the corresponding weather conditions. 
  
  You will also see the extensive airport monitoring capabilities including real-time congestion and disruption prediction with estimates and forecasts such as: taxi-out time, runway arrival time, taxi-in, gate-in, and more.  You will also see the extensive 24/7 alerts engine which automatically tracks changes in weather and aircraft conditions and alerts key duty personnel when these conditions have passed.

  After that you will see how Mission Watch integrates with flight planning systems to utilize operational flight plans (OFPs) for flight information, including details on position logs, flight paths, and deviations from the plan.  Dispatch can track the flown path vs OFP and ATC cleared routes.
  
  
• SITA Mission Watch Demo 4 – Key Functionality: Summary & Analysis
  Following that you will see the SUMMARY tab within SITA Mission Watch to explain fields sourced from OFPs, including actual times derived from OOOI messages, and highlight features such as the latest position and fuel reported versus planned fuel in the LATEST POSITION section of the App.  You will also see how to send and receive ACARS messages and monitor fuel consumption in real-time.
  
  
•  SITA Mission Watch Demo 5 – Key Functionality: Alternate Monitoring
  Finally the SITA team will show the display of alternates, emphasizing their monitoring at the estimated time of use, and note the color-coded indications of weather conditions. Additionally, you will see the change in the number of airports displayed when selecting a flight compared to not selecting one.
  
  You will see how to define an alternative route using the in-app tools, taking full advantage of the 4D weather display; add auxiliary routes, Eurocontrol and FAA routes; plus, auto-generated text routes allow users to copy and paste updates to the flight planning system.

1. SITA OptiFlight Demo 1: Climb-out optimization using OptiClimb
   The climb phase consumes a large amount of fuel and can be further optimized. As you will see, thanks to machine learning performance models obtained from historical flight data for each tail, OptiClimb processes flight plan information together with accurate 4D weather forecasts to predict fuel burn in tens of thousands of scenarios for each climb-out. It then recommends the most efficient scenario to the pilots.
   
   As you will see, OptiClimb works for any type of aircraft, flight planning system or pilot briefing solution whether paper or electronic, with no equipment installation or connectivity required. Pilots receive customized speeds, which they enter into the Flight Management System, and which change at different altitudes for each flight.
   
   
2. SITA OptiFlight Demo 2: Cruise optimization using OptiDirect
   Traditionally, pilots can request from ATC enroute, directs to save time and fuel but they often do not have the relevant tools or data in the cockpit to do so. As you will see OptiDirect recommends shortcuts based on historical tracks flown, with an indication of fuel and time savings. The solution also considers wind and temperature forecasts for the flight to recommend those shortcuts that will save the most on today’s flight.
   
   
3. SITA OptiFlight Cockpit Integrations and Airline Case Studies
   Finally, you will see how SITA OptiFlight easily integrates with paper briefing packages and flight planning systems, and with multiple EFB and EFF apps, including SITA eWAS (SITA’s weather app) and SITA Flight Folder (SITA’s electronic Flight Folder).
