Air Seychelles go live with Envision
Air Seychelles go live with Envision
In April 2014, all the fleet technical and stores data was migrated from the legacy system over to Envision and the stock value reconciled to the last SGD penny which then allowed the company to benefit from one of the biggest changes to their existing processes. Prior to taking Envision, all parts requisitioning had been hand written by the shop floor and then typed in by the stores counter staff. Now that electronic requisitioning is available with automated pick lists, engineers find the parts waiting for them and not them waiting for parts. The processes within Envision now give greater efficiency by eliminating manual processes and lengthy e-mail and telephone conversations trying to track life-cycle information. Further efficiencies were bought about by
- the delivery of 3-way matching – dramatically improving purchase invoice payment times
- release and delivery document scanning and attachment to parts records
- component shops now integrated into the system for the management of work and production of certification
- traditional workpack creation cut from an average of 4 hours to less than 10 minutes
- integrated technical library functionality eliminating external database
- integrated delay recording and tracking – eliminating external system
Despite the project timeline suffering a setback beyond both the control of Rusada and Air Seychelles the full implementation was successfully completed within 11 months.

Zurich, Switzerland – 17 April 2014 – Monarch Airlines has signed a contract to continue the use of the fuel conservation software developed by Aviaso. The Aviaso/Fuel Efficiency solution is in use in the London-based carrier since 2012. Extending the contract with Aviaso is yet another step that Monarch takes in achieving the goal of 6.8% improvement in fuel efficiency by the end of 2015.
“At Monarch we recognize that in the airline industry we must play our part to help reduce emissions. A number of steps have been taken within our business to achieve this”, says Nils Christy, Director of Operations, Monarch Airlines “Our goal is to achieve 6.8% improvement in fuel efficiency by the end of 2015. To do that, we are adding new fuel-efficient aircraft to our fleet and replacing old ones. Furthermore, we are implementing a series of initiatives on the ground and during flight which help us saving fuel. To measure these initiatives and identify additional fuel savings, we are using the fuel conservation software from Aviaso. The Aviaso/Fuel Efficiency software was deployed at Monarch in 2012. We have decided to extend the contract with Aviaso since we are very happy with the software, its powerful functions, and the good support from Aviaso.”

Furthermore, the Aviaso solution not only identifies the fuel savings, but also helps in really achieving these savings by rigorously monitoring the various fuel savings initiatives for each and every flight.
“It gives us a great pleasure to work with one of the leading airlines in implementing fuel efficiency initiatives”, says Rudolf Christen, CEO of Aviaso. “Monarch Airlines is setting an example in weight reduction initiatives and ground and flying procedures that reduce fuel usage significantly.
