Webinar Overview

Register to view this on-demand webinar (recorded 25th June 2026) to discover, via a demo of the IFS Cloud Engine MRO solution how the latest developments in engine MRO management software provide MROs, airlines, and operators with the digital tools, advanced automation, data, and real-time functionality needed to control and simplify the end-to-end processes and complexity of an engine shop visit. As you will see, IFS Cloud Engine MRO, as used by leading airlines and MROs such as Emirates and GA Telesis, is an industry-tailored solution designed around a gate approach for best-practice methodology. It provides end-to-end support and tracking from engine induction and work scoping to execution, inventory management, testing, redelivery, and every supporting process in between. During the webinar, IFS Cloud experts will take you through a demo of the solution from the perspective of both an inspector and a material coordinator, showcasing how the software enables users to manage complexity in real time, automate often difficult and monotonous tasks and processes, and surface the information needed to maintain control across the entire shop visit, no matter how complex it becomes. Key functionality you will see includes how the solution:

  • Automatically processes disassembly of the engine and how all disassembled components and materials are reserved in the next stage of the process, ready for dispositioning.
  • Facilitates the dispositioning process by automating the creation of repair orders based on the technician’s assessment at the point of disassembly.
  • Massively simplifies the assembly process through automation and the surfacing of key information, including kit readiness status and component availability.

The Webinar begins with a look at the challenges of turbine engine maintenance, which is inherently complex. The need to disassemble something with so many parts, with such narrow tolerances, through multiple assembly and sub-assembly levels, is extremely difficult to control – particularly given the fact that you don’t know how deep you have to go until you actually start doing it. No matter how you build your work scope, execution is frequently disrupted by unexpected findings, material availability issues, and changes in repair requirements.  As you will see IFS Cloud has been purpose built to meet these challenges, providing users with the advanced features and functionality to control the complexity through automated connections.

The Webinar is divided into 4 key sections:

1. IFS and IFS Cloud: Solving the Engine MRO Challenge

The webinar will open with a focused introduction to IFS and the IFS Cloud Engine MRO solution. You will then hear directly from IFS about the industry challenges facing engine MROs today: the inherent complexity of engine maintenance, the difficulty of managing thousands of components across multiple modules and sub-assembly levels with narrow tolerances, and the persistent challenge of unpredictable depth of work that only becomes apparent once induction has begun and disassembly is underway. You will see how IFS Cloud’s solution has been purpose-built to address these challenges, providing engine MROs with the digital tools, real-time data, and process automation needed to maintain control and visibility across every gate of the shop visit, no matter how complex it becomes.

2. IFS Cloud Demo 1: Interim Order Structure: The Magic that Enables Automation

The first demo will introduce the Interim Order Structure (IOS), a unique and foundational concept that drives automation across every stage of the engine shop visit. The IOS acts as the backbone of the solution, seamlessly linking all activities, from initial induction through execution and completion, into a single, coherent structure. By providing a clear and unified framework, the IOS enables full visibility, traceability, and orchestration of work, ensuring that each step is connected, contextualized, and efficiently managed. This not only streamlines operations but also supports better decision-making and improved turnaround times, making the IOS a key enabler of a truly integrated and automated MRO process.

3. IFS Cloud Demo 2: Automated Disassembly Processing and Component Reservation

The second demo will focus on one of the most critical and risk-intensive phases of any engine shop visit: the disassembly gate. Managing the teardown of a gas turbine engine across module split, strip, and full component disassembly involves tracking thousands of parts across multiple assembly levels, all while managing an evolving work scope whose true depth is often unknown at induction. IFS Cloud’s unique Interim Order Structure transforms this gate, automating the processing of disassembly in real time and ensuring every disassembled component and material is immediately reserved and staged for the next stage of the process, ready for dispositioning.

In this demo you will see how:

  • The solution automatically processes engine disassembly as it progresses across module split and strip, eliminating the need for manual data capture and reducing the risk of error at the most complex stage of the shop visit.
  • All disassembled components and materials are instantly reserved within the system as each stage completes, ensuring full traceability and readiness for the dispositioning gate without administrative delay.
  • The Interim Order Structure maintains real-time visibility across every disassembled component, giving planners and engineers a live, accurate picture of shop visit status throughout the disassembly process.

4. IFS Cloud Demo 3: Automating the Dispositioning Process and Repair Order Creation

The third and final demo moves into the dispositioning gate, where the decisions made about each disassembled component, whether to repair in-house, send for external repair, scrap, replace LLPs, or assess modification applicability, have a direct and often significant impact on cost, turnaround time, and final engine configuration. Traditionally, this has been one of the most time-consuming and error-prone stages of the shop visit, relying heavily on individual technician knowledge, manual paperwork, and disconnected repair order creation. IFS Cloud fundamentally changes this by automating repair order creation directly from the technician’s assessment at the point of dispositioning, while also alerting material controllers when parts that won’t be reinstalled need to be sourced.

In this demo you will see how:

  • The solution automates the creation of repair orders in real time, based directly on the technician’s component assessment at the dispositioning gate, eliminating manual hand-offs and administrative bottlenecks between disassembly and sub-assembly build.
  • Automated repair-code mapping, built around historical maintenance data and OEM manuals, provides engineers with proactive repair suggestions for each component, reducing reliance on individual expertise and ensuring consistency across the shop.
  • The system automatically identifies LLP status and modification applicability, including applicable Service Bulletins (SBs) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs), driving compliance and removing manual interpretation from the process.
  • In-house versus external repair routing decisions are guided by the system, drawing on historical data and defined repair capabilities to direct each component to the right repair path without delay.
  • Scrap decisions and replacement part requirements are surfaced proactively, with kit readiness implications flagged in real time so that material procurement can be initiated immediately, protecting the assembly build schedule.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading MRO/M&E IT Vendors.
