The Webinar begins with a look at the challenges of turbine engine maintenance, which is inherently complex. The first demo will introduce the Interim Order Structure (IOS), a unique and foundational concept that drives automation across every stage of the engine shop visit. Managing the teardown of a gas turbine engine across module split, strip, and full component disassembly involves tracking thousands of parts across multiple assembly levels, all while managing an evolving work scope whose true depth is often unknown at induction. IFS Cloud’s unique Interim Order Structure transforms this gate, automating the processing of disassembly in real time and ensuring every disassembled component and material is immediately reserved and staged for the next stage of the process, ready for dispositioning.

The third and final demo moves into the dispositioning gate, where the decisions made about each disassembled component, whether to repair in-house, send for external repair, scrap, replace LLPs, or assess modification applicability, have a direct and often significant impact on cost, turnaround time, and final engine configuration. Traditionally, this has been one of the most time-consuming and error-prone stages of the shop visit, relying heavily on individual technician knowledge, manual paperwork, and disconnected repair order creation. IFS Cloud fundamentally changes this by automating repair order creation directly from the technician’s assessment at the point of dispositioning, while also alerting material controllers when parts that won’t be reinstalled need to be sourced.
