Sign up to view this Webinar recording and join the experts at IDMR Solutions as they walk you through a Paperless end-to-end Aircraft Maintenance process. Using a case study of Columbia Helicopters (an aircraft operator and MRO shop), who have gone paperless in their hangars, and as live demonstrations of the powerful InForm Document Management Software System you will see a guide to creating a paperless maintenance process, including: generating Electronic Task / Job Cards, EOs, E-Signatures, Mobile Maintenance, raising Non-Routines, Generating Work Orders / Packs, MRO/M&E System Integration.
There is a growing trend for a ‘Paperless Office’ within aviation, and this Webinar shows you how a powerful document management / CMS solution, integrated with an MRO/M&E System can provide the tools required to create a paperless aircraft maintenance environment for any airline, operator or MRO: from maintenance management and scheduling to task cards, e-signatures and storing all documents and manuals. All available on Mobile platforms such as iPads, Smartphones, etc, as well as standard desktop and laptop computers.
A key component to paperless aircraft maintenance is creating and approving of task cards / work orders. The Webinar takes you on a step-by-step guide on how to generate electronic task cards, including electronic sign-off. It has been estimated that electronically generated task cards can increase maintenance efficiency to a level that can reduce the downtime for a heavy base check on a widebody, for example, by 15-20%. The Step-by-step guide will consist of:
Step 1 – Create / Import Task Cards
Starting with creation of task Cards whether you are importing them from SGML or writing your own cards; you will see how to easily create Task Cards using entry screens that are actual templates of your existing Task Cards.
Step 2 – Workflow / Approvals / Revision Control
The Task Card module sits inside the InForm Document Management platform with fully automated workflows, revision control, notifications, signatures(electronic as well) and distribution built right in. Allowing electronic routing of Task Cards for signatures from internal and external (such as FAA) sources via an easy to use web portal.
Step 3 – M&E/MRO System Integration
You see how InForm can seamlessly integrate with your current M&E System including Trax and Ramco and how to seamlessly push all the data entered in InForm directly to the M&E system with no dual entry required. The automated workflow is configured to push Task Card data to the M&E system as soon as the card is approved.
Step 4 – Printing / Work Packages / More Integration
Press print from the integrated M&E systems or print from the planning screen. Within minutes you will get an email and a link to a bunch of reports (all fully customizable) and your work order. Reports include Material Required, Man Hours, Tooling, Dynamic Open/Close Panel Listings, and Tally Sheet…. And of course the Task Cards all bundled with stamps on every card that include the station, Aircraft/Part No, Work Order, tally etc.
Step 5 – Electronic Signoff
The demonstration shows you the electronic signoffs process. You will see how to take any Task Card from the Work Order open it and sign it off completely electronically. You will not see a screen with sub tasks items or wizard screens; you will see a Task Card exactly like the PDF document with clickable options. All with built in validations and security.
You also see how to capture parameter recordings; create Non-Routines,Route Parts all within the system.
Step 6 – Non-Routine / Routers
You see how to raise a non-routine which is fully integrated with the Task Cards and including electronic Signatures for the mechanic and inspector and of course fully integrated with the M&E System.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provide an invaluable reference source of MRO software demonstrations from the World’s leading MRO IT Vendors.
