Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 8th December 2022) for an overview and demo of the class leading digital EFB, Flight Ops Management, and Dispatch solution, skybook, from Bytron Aviation Systems, as used by over 90 airlines and operators of all sizes and fleet type worldwide.  As you will see, skybook digitizes, automates, optimizes, and integrates workflows for Pilots, Dispatch, OCC and engineers; improving safety and efficiency for each flight. Via demos of the modules (EFB App, Digital Briefing, Flight Tracking, Flight Data Analytics, Dispatch Monitor, and more), you will see how the Apps and Solutions seamlessly integrate with each other and with 3rd party systems (Flight Planning, NOTAMs, weather, M&E Systems, etc.) sharing real-time data for all phases of each specific flight, online and offline. Airlines and operators can also design and construct their own system, by selecting the modules that match their exact requirements, or specific Apps to integrate with and enhance their current platforms.

During the Webinar you will see how skybook is supporting airlines to meet the challenges facing the industry today, through automating repetitive tasks, seamless data integrations and sending real-time auto alerts to key personnel about emerging issues that could impact a flight. Plus, you will see how skybook provides the right information to the right personnel improving decision making and identifies performance gains by capturing and analysing data across every sector flown.

The Webinar begins with a short introduction to skybook before a look at the solution’s seamless data exchange and integrations which create efficiencies for dispatchers and pilots. You will see overviews of the following modules: Dispatch Monitor, Ops Board, Planning Portal, Airfield Situation Monitoring, Notices, and Record Vault for long term flight storage information; that will be followed by a brief overview of what is coming soon. You will then see demo of the powerful EFB App from a pilot’s perspective for a typical flight showcasing how the EFF has been designed with pilots to improve workflow; and showing some of the new features such as the summary quick links section, pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight workflows. Next you will see a demo of Flight Tracking with real-time alerts, planned routes and innovative weather and environment features – all GADSS compliant. Finally, Bytron will then move on to the flight operations Reporting and Analytics module, featuring on-time performance and delay code analysis data, followed by an insight into the upcoming release of the ‘Fuel Reporting Dashboard’.

The Webinar is divided into the 5 key sections

  • Skybook Overview:
The Webinar begins with a look at the benefits and the reasons why airlines globally choose skybook to connect the workflows of flight operations, including: improving the dispatch process by automating the filtration of data and highlighting important information to save time and money; and removing manual information gathering, hugely reducing paper use, and simplifying and digitizing processes in all phases of each flight.

  • Flight Dispatch Solutions Overview; Ground Portal with Integrated Modules:
Next you will see skybook’s seamless data exchange and integrations which create efficiencies for dispatchers, showcasing the different modules linked to the Ground Portal. You will see how the Ground Portal enhances dispatch, voyage reporting and post flight analytics with a user-friendly system that provides integrated data, to the right place, at the right time.  Dispatchers can view all scheduled and operational flights, review the impact of significant weather along the route, plus check detailed weather, NOTAM and Route plot charts.  The modules you will see include:
Flight Dispatch: Improves the management of all flight information. Track flight progress and deliver bespoke briefings, via a single portal.
Ops Board: Track status updates, review flight schedules and manage the impact of delays in Ops Board, with a Gantt view of planned and actual sector data.
Planning Portal: The planning portal gives dispatch staff and aircrew access to detailed briefing information that can also be used for planning.
Airfield Watch: Providing operators with an intelligent overview of all departures, destination and alternates, frequently updating to the latest MET and NOTAM information.
Operational Notices: Maintain and distribute Flight Crew Notices, Flight Safety Notices, Cabin Crew Notices, and more depending on your requirements.

  • EFB App Demo – Following Pilot’s Workflow for a Typical Flight:
Then you will see a demo of the innovative and award winning EFB App, following the workflow for a Pilot for a typical flight.  You will see how the EFF has been designed by pilots to improve workflows and a look at some key functionalities including: summary quick links section, pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight workflow. You will see two modules:
EFB Digital Briefing: The award winning EFB briefing packs have been accredited by numerous airlines and CAAs and have passed IOSA and State Authority audits. All the vital data is covered including: Interactive OFP Information; METAR, TAF, Upper Wind & Temp Charts; Airfield and FIR NOTAM; Route plots and ETOPS Charts; and more.
EFF Journey Log: The Journey Log Electronic Flight Folder is easy to use, delivering, during each flight phase, data capture that can be updated and synced back to flight operations in real time. Key data and functionality include: Sector and voyage sign off; instant synching of data back to the ground team; De-Icing Info; and more

  • GADSS Compliant Flight Tracking Module Demo:
Next you will see a demo of powerful Flight Tracking Module Flight which tracks and generates a route plot from each flight plan and uses positioning data taken from real time ACARS or ADS-B to track each aircraft during its flight. Key features include: Show all active flights or focus on a single aircraft; Real-time weather layers such as: upper wind & temperature, clear air turbulence; Flight level, WX period & planned position data; North Atlantic Tracks and Graticule; Deviated position alerts; Airport NOTAM data; GADSS compliant.

  • Flight Data Reporting & Analytic Demo:
Finally you will see how to analyse key flight data and insights captured via the EFB. Share reports across departments, helping to save costs and make improvements within flight operations.  Key Data analytics and reports include: On-time performance & KPIs; Delay code data; De-icing analysis; Crew report information; and Export data for reporting. This will be followed by an insight into the upcoming release of the ‘Fuel Reporting Dashboard’.

The Webinar will conclude with a 15-minute skybook question and answer session with members of the Bytron team.

During the session, attendees will get a good understanding of how skybook can be used to capture vital information, that can easily be shared across third party systems during each flight phase.

The Bytron team are more than happy to arrange follow up sessions with interested parties to focus on specific areas of interest.
