Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 11th November 2021) and join digital aircraft maintenance data experts CrossConsense as they demo their suite of new My Aviation Apps, designed to tap into MRO data streams and provide real-time workflow and decision support tools for maintenance teams, pilots and management. As you will see the Apps and solutions integrate data seamlessly with any back-end MRO system, can be used on any device, and are designed to provide key personnel at airlines, operators, and MRO of all sizes worldwide with instant access to key data and at-a-glance information with push notifications ensuring immediate action and less delays.
The first App you will see is Aircraft Fleet View which provides airlines with real-time view of their fleet status including AOGs, delays, individual aircraft status, work order status and more. The App provides management with an instant overview of the status of the fleet, pilots can view the status of the aircraft they are flying next, and maintenance teams can quickly review tasks and workload that have to be carried out within the next couple of hours. Next, you will see the Approval App which is connected to the MRO system and alerts management via push notification should approvals be needed of any kind, such as: parts orders, document changes, form updates and more. Approvals can be completed instantly via the App at any location preventing delays. Finally, you will see the AviationDW solution which is a managed data warehouse, tailor-made for use with the data generated by any back-end MRO system. AviationDW simplifies KPI creation, using existing in-house reporting and visualization tools to provide users with the tools to delve deeper into the data with a targeted approach, to run reports such as the delay duration at a particular station or how many valves were replaced in which kind of aircraft, etc.
The Webinar begins with an overview of CrossConsense, before a look at MRO data and how it can be collected, interpreted and shared with key personnel via digital Apps. You will then see demos of the three My Aviation Apps:
- Demo 1: Aircraft Fleet View App – Real-time Fleet Status
As you will see, Aircraft Fleet View is an App that gives airlines an always up-to-date view on their fleet status. It indicates AOGs, delays and other important information, providing the right level of detail to be useful but not crowded with information. Aircraft Fleet View is not only meant for the management of an airline that wants to get a general overview over the status of the fleet. It can also be used by a pilot sitting in the hotel who just wants to have a look on the status of the aircraft he/she is going to fly next. And, of course, it can also be used by the maintenance team to get a general overview of which workload has to be managed within the next couple of working-hours. Displaying Aircraft Fleet View on a big screen in the maintenance department can support group discussions and initiate immediate action. Push notifications can be sent according to the customer’s needs.
- Demo 2: Approval App – Real-Time Management Approval
Next, you will see the Approval App which is a powerful application that organizes approvals of any kind, e.g. order / parts approvals, document approvals, forms approvals etc. The App is connected to the MRO back-end system, and enquiries for approvals are displayed in the App with push notifications sent to the user’s smartphone to alert when approvals are needed.
Not all MRO back-end system users enter the system every day – simply because they do not need to work in the system on a regular basis, or because they typically are on the move. In the Approval App, those users can complete approvals within a few seconds no matter where they are located. As you will see, the Approval App also includes smart features, including filtering or making searches in the approval list.
- Demo 3: AviationDW Solution – MRO Data Warehouse for KPIs and Business Intelligence
Finally, you will see the AviationDW solution which is a managed data warehouse, tailor-made for use with any backend MRO system and simplifies KPI creation based on data generated by the MRO-system. To this end, AviationDW provides easy-to-understand database schemes allowing business end-users to explore data without implementing complex logic.
The application favors the use of existing in-house reporting and visualization tools. Simply connect to AviationDW with common solutions like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, AWS QuickSight or other BI tools to directly benefit from existing knowledge and capabilities. Multiple data sources can easily be managed, and the users decide themselves which data is bundled and how it is displayed for better understanding and deeper analysis.
AviationDW in collaboration with one of the BI tools gives the airline the ability to visualize data in an interactive intuitive way to delve deeper into the data with a targeted approach, to run reports such as the delay duration at a particular station or how many valves were replaced in which kind of aircraft at a particular station, etc.
Finally, CrossConsense experts look to the roadmap of My Aviation Apps with other useful applications generated according to customer’s needs. Real-time communication and paperless operation will make the difference between successful and less successful companies and with the right tools, airlines will be prepared for that challenge.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
