Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 11th July 2019) for an excellent chance to see a full overview and demo of the flexible, powerful and easy to use EFB as a Service App from dgBirds, designed for Pilots, Cabin Crew and EFB Administrators. As you will see the App provide a full, easy to administer and to use, integrated EFB solution for all phases of flight; but airlines and aircraft operators can also design and construct their own system, by only selecting the services that match their exact requirements, or selecting specific services to integrate with or enhance an existing EFB platform. You will see how the App enables a seamless move to fully paperless Flight Operations and improves operational performance, sharing data and allowing air crew to quickly access their critical information with a single tap.

The Webinar begins with the dgBirds experts (including pilots) providing an overview of their unique services and platform before providing a full demo of the App from both the Pilot’s and EFB Admin’s perspective.

The Webinar is divided into the following three key sections:

  • Pilot Demo – Mobile App
You will be taken on a full tour of the mobile App and its different services from a pilot’s perspective, following all phases of a typical flight. First you will see how pilots access and review their documentation for a specific flight, including flight plans, sophisticated graphical representations of weather and airport conditions, NOTAMS, fully synched briefing package, etc., before sending back a signed OFP to Admin. Next you will see how Pilots can quickly and efficiently access key manuals and documents during flight; add notes and bookmarks, execute the flight, and finally report relevant events to Admin post flight.
  • EFB Admin Demo – Web Interface
Next you will see a demo from EFB Admin’s perspective. Using the powerful web interface you will see how Admin staff can manage and monitor all data, documents and manuals going to the Air Crew’s EFBs or cabin devices, and how this service integrates with the airline’s other key back-office systems for seamless sharing of data. In particular you will see how to upload modifications of important manuals and send alerts of the changes to the Air Crew.
  • Overview of dgBirds EFB as a Service App and challenges facing Flight Operations
Finally you will see a detailed overview of dgBirds’ EFB as a Service platform. You will see how each service can be used as a stand-alone solution, integrated within an existing EFB platform, or provide a full end-to-end EFB solution. You will also learn about pricing and hosting options and how the solution can enhance an airline’s Flight Operations, allowing them to face any challenges and deliver a paperless flight deck.
