New Airline Communications App for each Flight for Pilots, Crew, Gate Agent, Dispatch, OCC, M&E, Demo Webinar [AvioBook Connect Demo: Control Turnarounds, Flight Delays and IROPs; EFB & Airline System Integration; AID Live Aircraft Data; Automated Alerts]
Please note – this webinar is available for airlines, aircraft operators, and MRO facilities only.
Register to attend this Webinar to see how the powerful AvioBook Connect App is transforming the way airlines, control turnarounds, flight delays and IROPs (Irregular Operations). As you will see, AvioBook Connect, as used by airlines such as Southwest, Finnair, KLM, United, and more, replaces the patchwork of fragmented communication tools such as walkie-talkies, cockpit phones, WhatsApp, and Teams, with a single shared operational comms platform that gives every stakeholder for each flight (pilots, cabin crew, dispatch, gate agent, maintenance, OCC), a real-time, complete picture of each flight, eliminating miscommunication, missed updates, and delays that add up fast. During the Webinar, the AvioBook Connect demo will follow the workflows for a typical flight, showing how the system auto-creates a structured flight room for each flight, visible 24 hours before departure and providing all key stakeholders and scheduled crew with a secure chat room to receive automated alerts, exchange messages, request information, share live data, and effectively coordinate to minimize operational disruptions. You will see how the App is much more than a communications system with advanced Smart Actions allowing crew to retrieve real-time flight info from other airline systems, such as pilots requesting a METAR or crew triggering a gate announcement. In addition, team members have the functionality to specify @Roles to ensure the right person is informed. So, for example, pilots can @Dispatch to contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight to request a new flight plan. Crucially, you will see how, via its API platform, Connect integrates with the systems airlines already use to trigger automated alerts when things happen: a gate change, an aircraft swap, a new load sheet, a door opening, with everything timestamped for full traceability.
The Webinar will show how the systems keeps all flight stakeholders aligned during complex IROP situations, showing real-world examples of how Connect prevented delays and cancellations, including a pilot who used Connect to receive a new flight plan after an FMS failure, and a maintenance team that arrived with the right parts before the aircraft even landed. You will also see how the business case is straightforward: one block minute costs approximately €103. Therefore, saving just two minutes per turnaround across 200 daily flights adds up to over€600,000 per month. Finally, you will see a preview of an AI-powered analytics layer that uses operational data and contextual messaging to predict turnaround risks, analyze historical performance, and give flight crew a clear view of what’s on track and what’s at risk.
The Webinar is divided into the following 5 key sections:
- Why AvioBook Connect was Built: Solving the Communication Challenge in Airline Operations
The webinar begins with an overview of the operational communication challenges airlines face today, including fragmented communication channels, siloed operational information, and the complexity of coordinating multiple stakeholders during both normal operations and IROP scenarios. Based on operational experience and airline feedback, the AvioBook team will explain how AvioBook Connect was designed as a flight-centric operational collaboration platform that goes beyond traditional messaging tools by combining structured communication, operational workflows, live operational awareness, and automation into a single environment - AvioBook Core Features: Flight Rooms, Role-Based Tagging & Task Management
Next the AvioBook team will provide a full demonstration following the workflow of a typical flight operation showing how Connect structures communication around flights, ensuring the right people see what needs their attention and when it needs it, such as a dispatcher view organized by ETD (Estimated Time of Departure), plus:
– Auto-created flight rooms: As you will see, Connect automatically creates structured flight rooms bringing together pilots, cabin crew, dispatch, OCC, maintenance, gate agents, and other operational stakeholders into a shared operational workspace visible 24 hours before departure with crew assignments added automatically.
– Role-based @tagging: Role-based tagging and structured operational communication ensuring the right teams and stakeholders are informed immediately when action is required. For example, pilots can contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight directly within the flight room, using @Dispatch, to request a new flight plan
– Shared task lists: Shared task management and prioritization views that help operational teams focus on the most critical actions during both normal operations and disruption scenarios.
– Airline-configured operational messages and predefined workflows that reduce manual coordination and repetitive communication. For example, cabin crew or ground staff can notify operational teams of boarding constraints, full overhead bins, or turnaround issues with a single action instead of making phone calls or manually typing updates.
– Full traceability through timestamped operational communication, delivery and read receipts, document sharing, and structured communication linked directly to the flight operation. - AvioBook Connect – API platform: Automations & Smart Actions
Next you will see how the API platform generates automations and smart actions – the heart of Connect. You will see how event-based automations handle routine updates without manual input, and how smart actions let users trigger workflows in other systems, all from within the chat room. Out-of-the-box integrations cover gate changes, aircraft swaps, load sheets, and live aircraft data via AvioCast:
– Automated operational alerts and event-driven updates generated through integrations with operational systems and live aircraft data, including gate changes, aircraft swaps, crew updates, delays, new OFP or load sheet releases, aircraft landing events, and door opening notifications.
– Smart Actions that allow users to retrieve operational information or trigger operational workflows directly from within the flight room. For instance, pilots can request METAR updates, operational teams can initiate gate announcements, and users can access relevant operational information without leaving the platform. - AvioBook Connect – Real-World Impact: IROP Examples & Quantified Savings
Next you will see concrete examples of Connect preventing delays and cancellations during IROP situations, plus savings and the business case:
– Real-world disruption management examples, including a pilot receiving an updated flight plan directly within the flight room following an FMS failure.
– Earlier operational visibility and coordination across stakeholders enabling maintenance teams to arrive with the correct parts before the aircraft has landed.
– Faster operational communication and improved situational awareness helping airlines minimize turnaround delays and reduce disruption escalation.
– Quantified operational savings through improved communication speed, operational awareness, and coordination efficiency.
– The operational business case behind turnaround optimization, where one block minute costs approximately €103, meaning that saving just two minutes per turnaround across 200 daily flights can deliver more than €600,000 per month in operational savings.
- Roadmap: AI Analytics and Future Operational Intelligence
Finally, the AvioBook team will provide a preview of the future roadmap for AvioBook Connect, including the development of an AI-powered analytics layer designed to combine operational data with contextual operational messaging to improve situational awareness and operational decision-making. You will see how future capabilities will predict turnaround risks, analyze historical operational performance, identify operational bottlenecks, and provide flight and operational teams with clearer visibility into what is progressing as planned and what may require intervention.
The webinar will finish with a live Q&A session.

New Airline eSIM EFB Connectivity for Global Coverage and Real-Time Monitoring Solution Demo Webinar [emnify Consumer eSIM and Connectivity Management Platform (CMP) Demo: MDM-Integration, Zero-Touch eSIM Activation, Usage Limits & DND Controls]
Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 29th January 2026) to see a demo of how airlines are managing EFB connectivity at scale using Consumer eSIM combined with zero-touch MDM-integration and centralized connectivity control, via a demo of emnify’s new airline specific connectivity solution and platform. As you will see the solution provides airline IT and EFB teams with the advanced tools needed to deploy large numbers of flight crew devices quickly, support truly global connectivity (using multiple-networks), and maintain strict control over connectivity costs and security – all without adding operational overhead. Using demos of the emnify platform and real airline operational examples, the emnify team will show how EFB connectivity can be provisioned over the air and into the airline’s MDM setup, allowing airlines to activate connectivity without manual SIM swaps, QR codes, or flight crew interaction. Once the EFB devices are active, you will see how emnify’s unique cloud-native Connectivity Management Platform (CMP) is used to manage and operate those connections in real-time, supporting rapidly changing routes or diversions to remote airports, controlling data costs in high-price and remote regions, and ensuring that connectivity is used only for approved, mission-critical applications via DNS filtering and usage limits; rather than potentially expensive software updates or use of data-eating apps such as Netflix or YouTube. Additionally, you will see how the solution can also be used for other air crew devices and Aircraft Interface Devices (AIDs).
During the webinar you will see:
- An overview of the operational requirements airlines face when managing EFB connectivity across large device fleets
- How zero-touch, MDM-integrated provisioning enables instant rollout of Consumer eSIM profiles at scale
- Managing airline-specific global connectivity plans aligned to route networks, including high-cost and remote regions
- Applying explicit control over connectivity using data limits, thresholds, and DNS filtering to restrict usage to mission-critical applications
- How airline IT and EFB teams gain real-time visibility and centralized control over device connectivity, usage, and policy enforcement
The Webinar is divided into the following three sections:
- Overview of airline EFB Connectivity Requirements and Challenges, and emnify’s Approach:
Managing connectivity for airline EFB fleets has become increasingly complex. For the past few years, airlines have faced operational limitations of traditional SIM-based connectivity, particularly as Apple shifted to eSIM-only iPads. Unreliable roaming, the needs to support rapidly changing route structures, high-costs and manual provisioning means that a new approach is needed.
The emnify team will then introduce their own unique solution showing how zero-touch, MDM-integrated provisioning enables Consumer eSIM profiles to be delivered over the air as part of the device lifecycle, allowing airlines to activate connectivity without manual SIM swaps, QR codes, or user interaction. Once devices are active, the Connectivity Management Platform CMP is used to manage and operate those connections centrally.
- Live Platform Demo: Centralized Connectivity Management using the CMP
Next, the team will showcase the functionality of the unique Connectivity Management Platform (CMP) – the cloud-native, API-first platform airlines use to manage connectivity, coverage, usage visibility, and policy controls across flight operations environments – this includes EFBs, and other air crew devices, and Aircraft Interface Devices (AIDs). As you will see, all functionality is available both via the native web interface, or via APIs, allowing airlines to integrate connectivity management directly into their own systems and workflows.
The demo will show how airlines define and manage airline-specific global connectivity plans, aligning countries, networks, and coverage profiles with operational needs and route networks, while maintaining predictable costs across EFB and crew device fleets. You will also see how airline IT teams apply explicit control over connectivity using policies such as usage limits, thresholds, DNS filtering, and automated actions. These controls can be applied centrally or at device level, in bulk and in real time, ensuring connectivity is restricted to approved applications and operational use cases. - Airline Operational Use Cases and Deployment Examples
Finally, the emnify team walk us through some practical airline deployment examples illustrating how Consumer eSIM and centralized connectivity management are used in live operations. These examples show how airlines support global flight operations, scale device deployments efficiently, and maintain control over costs and security without increasing manual workload.
As you will see, a recent deployment with Discover Airlines provided the airline with the following benefits: cost optimization and customer security controls, optimized global data plans, automated policy enforcement, multi-network connectivity, custom DNS filtering for security and cost control, automated data limits and real-time alerts, and real-time visibility and control.

*Please note – this webinar is open to Airlines and Aircraft Operators only*
Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 22nd January 2026), to see the latest advances in real-time in-flight optimization via a demo of Loretta from Flightkeys, the EFB flight deck assistance App which empowers pilots to make better-informed tactical decisions during flight. As you will see, Loretta integrates cutting-edge cost and flight path optimization features along with contrail and turbulence avoidance technology directly into the flight deck providing pilots with the transparency and context needed to reduce fuel consumption, manage delays and payload changes, lower emissions, and improve overall cost efficiency – all without the need to regenerate a new flight plan or rely on connectivity. During the Webinar, the Flightkeys team will walk you through a typical flight from a pilot’s perspective, showing how Loretta supports flight execution from pre-flight to climb, cruise, descent and post-flight analysis. Advanced features you will see include Loretta’s Sweet Spot diagram which clearly shows pilots the optimal combination of flight level and Mach number, with cost penalties clearly highlighted when operating outside the optimal envelope.
You will see how Loretta continuously recalculates the most efficient speeds and altitudes based on actual aircraft weight, fuel burn, winds and atmospheric conditions, allowing pilots to optimize climb speeds, step climbs and cruise profiles in real-time; you will also see how pilots can assess the feasibility of ATC shortcuts; and how Loretta can react to delays, ATC constraints and payload changes, instantly recomputing fuel burn and arrival times without regenerating an OFP.
Next you will see Loretta’s advanced sustainability and safety features including contrail avoidance, turbulence visualization, and the ability to recalculate flight paths to balance fuel burn, arrival time, and overall climate impact. The Flightkeys team will also discuss the limitations and challenges pilots face when using traditional flight plans; and finally, show the business case with an analysis of flights operated with and without Loretta showing measurable improvements in fuel efficiency, operational predictability, and decision-making transparency, while giving back control to the pilots.
The Webinar is divided into the following four key sections:
- The limitations Pilots face using an Operational Flight Plan and an Operational Overview of Loretta
First the Flightkeys team will outline the limitations pilots face when using an OFP. Pilots receive an OFP, a document with step-by-step instructions: speeds, altitudes, waypoints. What they don’t receive is the context behind those numbers. Plans rarely survive the flight unchanged. Payloads change. Delays happen. ATC intervenes. The ‘optimal’ flight level suddenly isn’t available or isn’t realistic. In those moments, pilots are expected to make tactical decisions on the spot, often with nothing more than the original OFP and limited onboard tools. The result? Critical decisions based on partial information and educated guesswork.
As you will see, this is where Loretta comes in. The team will provide an initial high-level overview demo of Loretta showing how it brings transparency, context, and real-time optimization into the cockpit and how pilots can make better-informed decisions when the plan meets reality.
You will see how flights are automatically downloaded into the Loretta App or integrated into an EFB and made available fully offline; you will also see an intro to Loretta’s signature ‘Sweet Spot’ visualization showing the optimal speed and altitude combination for the current aircraft weight and conditions, plus cost penalties clearly highlighted; how pilots can change parameters in real-time, and instantly recompute the flight path offline, without regenerating a new flight plan. - Loretta Demo 1: Typical Flight from Pilot’s Perspective
Next, the Flightkeys experts will walk you through a realistic operational flight and how:
- The flight is downloaded and opened on the EFB
- Load sheet, take-off fuel, and centre-of-gravity data are keyed in
- The flight profile is adjusted interactively, updating the Sweet Spot chart in real time
- Pilots compare live flight data with previewed scenarios during execution
You will see: - Optimal climb speed calculations presented as an operationally usable range
- Real-time fuel burn and Scheduled Time of Arrival (STA) recalculations
- Delay simulations and immediate re-optimization
- Cost Index comparisons between OFP assumptions, on-time scenarios and minimum flight time strategies
The demo will also show how pilots can assess the feasibility of ATC shortcuts using clear visual cues across waypoints – including the impact on fuel burn, arrival time and overflight charges.
- Loretta Demo 2: Contrail and Turbulence area awareness and avoidance
Next you will see Loretta’s advanced sustainability and safety features including contrail avoidance, turbulence visualization, and the ability to recalculate flight paths to balance fuel burn, arrival time, and overall climate impact.
You will see:
- Contrail risk assessment along the planned flight path
- CO₂ emissions calculations based on actual fuel burn
- Evaluation of the global warming impact of condensation trails
- Recalculation of flight paths to reduce contrail formation, with transparent trade-offs between fuel, time and emissions
- Turbulence visualization and optimization to minimise passenger discomfort
- Loretta Statistics and Business Case
Finally, the webinar addresses the needs of operational and financial decision makers. This section will demonstrate how Loretta enables measurable improvements in fuel efficiency, operational predictability and decision-making transparency – while giving control back to the pilot.
You will see:
- How Loretta measures efficiency improvements scientifically
- How results are derived, validated and benchmarked
- Real-world comparisons of flights operated with and without Loretta
- Actual trip fuel compared against theoretical optimum performance
- Fleet-level results across aircraft types

You will see how the system integrates live ADS-B data with years of flight history to improve the pilot’s situational awareness across every phase of flight, and deliver precise, actionable, and cost-optimized fuel saving recommendations.
2. FlyGuide App – Demo 1: Extra Fuel Decision Making
First, you will see how FlyGuide provides the data needed to move beyond guesswork in pre-flight fuel planning. The demo will start with the traditional process: stacks of flight plans, weather charts, and NOTAMs; and then show how FlyGuide uses two years of actual flight data to quantify overburn and underburn trends, account for runway changes, and recommend the right fuel load. You will learn how to replace blanket “extra fuel” with precise, confident decisions that avoid unnecessary weight and overburn.
3. FlyGuide App – Demo 2: Single-Engine Taxi-Out
Next, you will see how to capture the benefits of Single-Engine taxi without risking departure delays. The demo will show how FlyGuide calculates optimal engine-start points based on airport layout, warm-up times, and live ground traffic, allowing crews to adapt in real time and resulting in consistent savings, reduced workload, and no loss of operational flexibility.
4. FlyGuide App – Demo 4: Flight Descent Management
Finally you will discover why descent is the most fuel-critical phase of flight; and how anticipating ATC shortcuts can make or break efficiency. As you will see, using historical arrival patterns, FlyGuide helps crews set realistic top-of-descent points, maintain idle-thrust profiles, and avoid costly early or late descents. Post-flight analysis pinpoints deviations and quantifies the fuel cost, turning each flight into a learning opportunity.

New Real-Time Flight Comms & Auto Alerting App for Pilots, Crew, Dispatch OCC, Maintenance Demo Webinar [AvioBook Connect Demo: EFB & Airline Systems Integration; AID Live Aircraft Data; Secure Chat Room for each Flight; Automated Alerts; more…]
*This Webinar is for airlines and aircraft operators only
Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 22nd May 2025) to see the future of real-time flight communications via a demo of the new AvioBook Connect App. As you will see the App gathers everyone assigned to a specific flight (pilots, crew, dispatch, gate agent, maintenance, OCC, etc.) in a secure chat room to receive automated alerts, exchange messages, request information, share live data, and effectively coordinate to minimize operational disruptions, and revolutionize the way airline stakeholders communicate for each flight. During the Webinar, the AvioBook Connect demo will follow the workflows for a typical flight. You will see how live aircraft and system data integrates with the App to provide automatically generated alerts as simple text bars, such as when the aircraft lands, or the doors open, or if there are last minute changes to the flight such as a crew or gate change, a flight delay or new OFP release. Team members can use the slash function in the Connect App to retrieve information. For instance, the pilots can use /METAR and the ICAO code of the airfield in question to request a weather update, or the cabin crew can use /33B to find out who is sitting in seat 33B. In addition to sending messages or sharing live updates directly with all key flight personnel, team members have the functionality to specify @Roles to ensure the right person is informed. So, for example, pilots can @Dispatch to contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight to request a new flight plan. You will also see how airlines can curate role-based messages to speed up comms, so for example, instead of cabin crew writing out long messages or making phone calls to alert that the luggage bins are full during boarding, that message can be sent in a single click.
The webinar begins with an overview of the popular AvioBook application suite and a look at the latest developments in our products. The team will take you through a snapshot of the integrated, modular suite of solutions: AvioBook Flight, Base, Cabin, Connect and AvioCast. The AvioBook team will then showcase their vision for the future of smart, integrated and automated messaging through AvioBook Connect. You will see how the App helps streamline workflows across flight operations thanks to better communication.
The Webinar is divided into the following key sections:
- The AvioBook Vision for the Future of Connected Operations
Based on market insights, the AvioBook team outlines the guiding principles for the development of its suite of solutions such as the need to focus not only on airline needs but also the end user experience, or looking at challenges in a holistic way to tackle them end-to-end. This tried and tested approach in the context of communications means that AvioBook are able to tackle airline concerns of today, such as the need to streamline communication between varied airline stakeholders, and into the future, harnessing the advantages that expanded connectivity brings. - An overview of the AvioBook Application Suite (EFB, AID, Dispatch Tool, etc.)
Next you will see a look at the current status of the AvioBook suite. Solutions you will see include: AvioBook Flight – industry-leading EFB solution; AvioBook Base for OCC and dispatchers; AvioBook Cabin; AvioBook Connect – real-time airline comms; and AvioBook AvioCast – In-Flight connectivity and real-time data solution.
You will get a glimpse of future developments and how AvioBook Connect fits into the broader AvioBook suite. This includes the expansion of AvioBook’s situational awareness tool in Globe in AvioBook Flight and Base to bring in more data layers and interactive tools.
- AvioBook Connect Demo: The Future of Communication in Flight Operations
Next the AvioBook Team provides a full demo and overview of the AvioBook Connect App following the workflows for a typical flight. As you will see, AvioBook Connect is just that, an operational tool that combines chat functionalities with automatic system messages and smart actions. Automatic system messages are built on AvioBook’s extensive experience integrating with airline operational systems meaning that, for example, when a new OFP is requested and released this appears in a simple text bar in AvioBook Connect. With the roll out of the AID solution AvioCast, these automatic system messages can now include data directly from the aircraft such as when the aircraft lands or the doors open. Smart actions enable participants to either get information, such as requesting the latest METAR at the destination airport, or initiate actions through APIs like change gate messaging. AvioBook Connect therefore becomes a proactive support to the crew’s operations.
You will then Learn more about the product development, and see some of the latest features like role-specific quick replies, a countdown clock to take off, delivery and read receipts. tagging users by role, tagging users outside of the flightroom (based on permissions), a task list for supervisor roles, filters, document uploads, and more granular permissions. - AvioBook Connect Demo: Key Features – Automated Messages, Role-Based Comms
During the Demo, the AvioBook team will highlight the key features showing how AvioBook Connect improves communication, saves turnaround time, and avoids misalignment. These include:
– Automating messages based on data from the AvioBook AID AvioCast that lets teams know when an airplane touches down or when doors are open; or through further system integrations to show if there are last minute changes to the flight such as a crew or gate change, a flight delay or new OFP release.
– Task prioritisation and alerts in chat rooms so that dispatchers are able to pay attention to the actions that matter most. For example, if the pilot requests a new OFT it is more important than scheduling changes which are hard to see and prioritise when it’s traditionally organised by phone.
– Airline-curated, role-based short messages to speed up communication in a professional way. You will also see how airlines can curate role-based messages to speed up comms, so that, for example, instead of cabin crew writing out long messages or making phone calls to alert that the luggage bins are full during boarding, that message can be sent in a single click. This means that cabin crew can focus on welcoming their guests. These short messages are created by the airline and organised by role so are incredible incredibly adaptable.
– The Ability to specify @Roles to ensure the right person is informed at the right time. So, for example pilots can @Dispatch to contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight to request a new flight plan.
– The functionality to access key info using the slash function. For instance, the pilots can use /METAR and the ICAO code of the airfield in question to request a weather update, or the cabin crew can use /33B to find out who is sitting in seat 33B. - Conclusion and Q&A session
Bringing all these connected and dependent elements together, the AvioBook team will outline how together, they will lead to the future of digital flight operations and the future of flying. Finally, there is a Q&A session with Petra Lafond (Product Manager) and Ludwig Willems (Sales Manager). The webinar will close with your opportunity to ask questions about AvioBook’s vision for the future.
