EFB Take-Off and Landing Performance Software Demonstration and Overview Webinar [inc: Tablet Demo; Mass & Balance; Airport Database; Engine Failure Take-Off Procedures; Temperature Corrected EFFRA; Manual NOTAM; ACN and PCN; plus more]

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 31st January 2019) for a great chance to see a demo and overview of Guru 2, the popular EFB Take-Off and Landing Performance Software Solution from Flygprestanda.  During the Webinar you will see a demo of a typical flight showing how, in combination with a full worldwide airport database at their fingertips, pilots can use the solution to calculate take-off and landing performances at any time all offline, with instant access to Engine Failure Take-Off Procedures; easily calculate Mass & Balance; manually input NOTAMS; plus lots more. As you will see Guru 2 compliments any EFB and provides airlines and operators of any size with a powerful performance tool for any runway or alternate their pilots might ever need.

The Webinar starts with an introduction to Flygprestanda and their comprehensive worldwide airport database (8000+ airports maintained in-house).  You will then be taken on a live demo of Guru 2 from a pilot’s perspective, encompassing Mass & Balance, Take-Off and Landing Performance calculations and Engine Failure Take-Off Procedures (EFTP) – all offline, to eliminate the uncertainty data links.  Next you will see both established and new features including: how pilots can manually input NOTAMs for any runway; how to load in METAR data; support for temperature corrected EFFRA (Engine Failure Flap Retraction Altitude); support for ACN (Aircraft Classification Number) and PCN (Pavement Classification Number); support for fuel density; support for complete MEL and Master MEL lists; how pilots can input sectioned and individual seating to calculate Mass & Balance; manual and automatic fuel distribution and finally a look at the Back Office Administration tool.

During the Demo of Guru 2 you will see the following functionality:

  • Take-Off and Landing Performance Calculations.
  • Dynamic Airport Data.
  • Integrated Graphical Mass & Balance Calculation, including Pilot’s e-Signature.
  • EFTP – Engine Failure Take-Off Procedures, ACN and PCN features, fuel density corrections and the possibility to load in METAR data.
  • A look at New features: Manual NOTAM input for any runway, support for MEL and Master MEL lists, sectioned and individual seating for large aircraft, manual and automatic fuel distribution; Temperature corrected EFFRA; and more…

Webinar Agenda:

  • An introduction to Flygprestanda.
  • An overview of Guru 2.
  • A live Tablet demo / walk through (using B757) of Guru 2 including: Airport Analysis & Data; Take-Off & Landing Performance; Mass & Balance calculations; Engine Failure Take-Off Procedures.
  • An overview of new features including: Manual NOTAM input for any runway; support for complete MEL and Master MEL lists; Sectioned and Individual seating for large aircraft; Manual and Automatic Fuel Distribution; Temperature corrected EFFRA; and more…

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of MRO software demonstrations from the World’s leading MRO IT Vendors.

Airport Database and Performance Software Demonstration On-Demand Webinar [inc: Engine Failure Procedure and EOSID (Engine Out Standard Instrument Departure) Analysis; NOTAMS; Obstacles]

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 1st December 2016) and see a full overview and as live demonstration of the hugely popular and unique Airport Database, from ACFT PERFO – part of the ADMS (Aviation Data Management Suite) Software Solution.  During the Webinar you will see how the Airport Database integrates with and greatly enhances any performance software; how it is continuosly updated 24/7; and how to design an Engine Failure Procedure and perform an EOSID analysis using ADMS.

The Webinar begins with the ACFT PERFO experts taking you on a tour of the key ADMS modules, focusing specifically on Airport Database, NOTAMS and Obstacles. You will see how the airport database is compliant with all existing formats (including all manufacturers’ EFB and performance software) and can be adapted to meet any specific demand.

As you will see during the demo, ADMS manages a comprehensive (16,500 major airports in the database with more than 3,500 in use by actual customers) worldwide airport database, compliant with all IR OPS and FAA regulations.  The database is constantly updated and is permanently available via EFB, tablet / iPad and the Web.  The demo will show you the live NOTAM watch functionality: should a NOTAM have an influence on performance, the Airport Database is updated and an automatic notification by email is sent to users.  Other key functionalities you will see includes: Airports / Runways description; obstacles impacting aircraft performance; airport related documents management; a worldwide obstacle airport database and sorted NOTAMS.

Next, using Santiago Airport as a case study, the ACFT PERFO experts, using the sophisticated tools provided by ADMS, will walk you through how to calculate an optimum Engine Failure Procedure, for each aircraft type and variant, and perform an EOSID analysis, based on:

  • The airport and runway data (runway length etc.)
  • The obstacles (from AIP, NOTAMS and other sources)
  • The limiting terrain
  • Visual design of the engine out route with VOR/DME, Navaids or other waypoints
  • Analysis of the engine out procedure for each aircraft type, based on its own characteristics (speed, wingspan, gradient loss, etc.) and on wind conditions
  • Extraction of limiting obstacles with calculation of height and distance for performance software.
  • For the EOSID analysis, all worldwide SIDs (Standard Instrument Departures) are imported and analyzed according to aircraft type specifications.  Then obstacle clearance points are calculated to give guidance to the EOSID analyst.  The goal is to detect automatically all non-penalizing SIDs and to provide a continuous watch based on AIRAC cycles.

During the Webinar you will see how a comprehensive, cost-effective, airport database with a state-of-the-art management program can deliver high quality, performance enhancing information to any airline, aircraft operator, OEM, airport manager and EFB user.

Webinar agenda:

  • Introduction to ACFT PERFO
  • An overview of ADMS
  • Live Software Demonstration of the Major Modules: Airport Database, NOTAM, Obstacles
  • How to design an Engine Failure Procedure and perform EOSID analysis, case study ‘SCEL – Santiago’
  • Q & A

About ADMS – what you will see during the Webinar:

ADMS is a software used by ACFT PERFO to manage its comprehensive airport database for a range of applications.  In this Webinar you will see a live demonstration of the major modules of the software: airport database, NOTAMs and obstacles including:

  • Offering a worldwide obstacle airport database
  • Follow up of NOTAMs on the airports
  • Offering sorted NOTAMs
  • Calculation EFP (engine failure path) per aircraft type and variant, and perform EOSID analysis

The AIRPORTS DATABASE contains:

  • Airports / Runways description
  • Obstacles impacting aircraft performance
  • Structural limit / ERP by aircraft type
  • Airport related documents management
