Ocean Sky upgrades its systems to the Rusada
Ocean Sky, as a progressive provider of FBO and MRO activity for the private jet space are always driving for business improvements that directly benefit their clients. Recently Ocean Sky took a fundamental decision to drive improvements to its business and customer service offering by being one of the first clients to upgrade its systems to the Rusada – Envision LITE ™ MRO & CAMO applications. Ocean Sky commenced implementation mid June 2012 and will be fully live on this system by the end of August 2012.
RAK Airways selects Rusada (Envision)
RAK Airways, based in UAE, having carried out an extensive review of the available MRO – CAMO systems market place, elected to acquire and implement the full Envision ™ modular suite supplied by Rusada.
RAK Airways are driving extensive growth to its business and required a full service offering that will allow it to meet it’s objectives and Rusada afforded it the opportunity to implement rapidly, supported by the local Rusada team, whilst minimising disruption in the critical area of the continuing airworthiness department.
The Rusada Envision suite will go on to be the centre piece for the integration of the entire operation and the various related departments and peripheral systems supplied by third parties. The installation commenced in June 2012 with a multi phased approach designed around the business needs of the airline. Engineering is already live and the whole system including flight operations is on target to be fully implemented by January 2013.

ABOUT AIR GREENLAND
Air Greenland A/S is the flag carrier airline of Greenland, owned by the Greenland Home Rule Government, SAS Group, and the government of Denmark. It operates a fleet of 38 aircrafts, 10 fixed-wing aircraft primarily serving the domestic network, and 26 helicopters feeding passengers from the smaller communities into the domestic airport network.
Founded in 1960 as Grønlandsfly, the majority of operations were based on helicopters until the newly- established Greenland Home Rule began investing in a network of short takeoff and landing airfields. The reliability of connections improved as the domestic airport network expanded in the 1990s: increasing use of the Dash 7s made the airline less restricted by inclement weather. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Air Greenland acquired a Boeing 757 and an Airbus A330, airliners allowing it to open connections to Copenhagen.
Besides running scheduled services and government-contracted flights to most villages in the country, the airline also supports remote research stations, provides charter services for tourists and Greenland’s energy and mineral-resource industries. Lufthansa Flight Training to use AMOS for its entire simulator fleet
AMOS used for flight simulator maintenance
Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT) recently signed with Swiss-AS agreements to maintain their 37 simulators in AMOS. Since 2008, LFT’s pilot school in Bremen has been relying on AMOS for their training aircraft. Their positive experience has convinced the management to use AMOS and the additional simulator module AMOS_SIM for LFT’s flight simulator fleet.
“With LFT, AMOS is now deployed in two companies for the simulator maintenance. The flight training business is an interesting market for Swiss-AS and we are pleased to be in the position to offer our customers, in addition to the AMOS core application, the dedicated AMOS_SIM module which meets the requirements of today’s aviation training providers”, says Ronald Schaeuffele, CEO of Swiss-AS.
Productivity growth coupled with financial savings
A rise of productivity is expected through the shut-down of LFT’s 20 legacy software systems and the establishment of AMOS as leading application. By using AMOS for the maintenance of the 37 flight simulators as well as the training aircraft of the flight school, Lufthansa Flight Training is counting on remarkable savings over the next few years.
