During the Webinar SITA experts will show how common, existing communication channels can fall short in creating an open collaboration environment. This creates poor flow of information and instructions that can cause minor errors, mounting up to large delays at the end of the day’s operation. You will see how the SITA Mission Control App solves these issues and allows all duty personnel to easily manage each flight with clear visibility of real-time status through sharing information and instructions from a single platform to everyone involved in the flight. As well as manual entries such as ‘catering loading’ or ‘fuelling’ from ground crew, or ‘wheelchair requested’, additionally you will also see how the ACARS connection links updates from the aircraft to the App allowing all personnel to see live status such as delays in-flight, or holding time, or auto-updates on the ground such as ‘cargo door open’. Pilots and Cabin Crew can also use the App in-flight to alert OCC or maintenance of any potential issues which can be dealt with on arrival to reduce turnaround time or to alert ground crew to the expected fuel needed at turnaround. Built using the Microsoft Teams platform, you will see how all duty personnel can easily access the App via desktop or mobile devices using familiar software.
The Webinar begins with a look at the challenges airlines face using existing communication channels, and how one missed communication or update can cause knock-on effects, snowballing into large delays at the end of the day. In a recent EASA bulletin (EASA SIB No.: 2022-06), increased collaboration is stated as a key recommendation for airlines in improving operation efficiency and safety. You will then see a full overview of the SITA Missions Control App outlining the key benefits, with a look at the latest developments, including the dedicated Turnaround Module. Finally, you will see a full Mission Control demo.

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues.
