Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 30th November 2023) to see, via a walk-through demo and full overview of the popular integrated Safety, Risk and Compliance Management software solution – SITA Safety Cube from SITA – how the latest digital advances in cloud-based solutions and apps, powered by operational data, is transforming the face of modern safety and risk management. SITA Safety Cube, available online and offline via desktop or mobile Apps, is used by over 50 aviation companies worldwide, including airlines, aircraft operators, airports, ANSPs, MROs, CAAs and OEMs.  During the Webinar, the SITA Safety Cube demo, following workflow processes for a typical airline, will show how the solution provides the tools to simplify and automate company-wide and end-to-end safety, compliance, and audit needs. You will see how SITA Safety Cube’s revolutionary dynamic bowtie analysis model connects current operational data (Flight Data Monitoring Data, Safety Reports, Audits, etc.) to an organization’s risks maps and, by continually updating the analysis, the tool offers a clear, data-driven picture of risk in as near real-time as possible. The example you will see follows a pilot reporting an ‘unstable approach’, before safety and compliance managers use the dynamic bow-tie analysis model to track risk and safety strategy effectiveness, including assigning responsibilities and due dates for implementation of risk mitigations. You will then see how to easily set up and complete a compliance audit using any regulatory document such as IOSA, IR-OPS, Part-M, etc.

The Webinar is divided into the following key sections:

  • Safety Management: The Challenges of Minimizing Risk and the Business Benefits
The Webinar begins with SITA Safety Management experts outlining the challenges of minimizing risk. You will see the importance of adopting a more proactive safety approach regarding risk monitoring and understanding how safety controls become vulnerable due to current operational practices.  You will see how SITA Safety Cube provides the tools to monitor controls and risk in real-time and to make it possible to make data-driven decisions to mitigate operational risk at the right time.

You will also learn about the business benefits of a robust safety management program through potentially reducing insurance premiums by up to 10%, reducing staff time spent on manual tasks by 30%, and having 25% fewer operational incidents.

  • SITA Safety Cube Demo 1 – Pilot Filing in Safety Report for ‘Unstable Approach’
Next the SITA team will take you through a walkthrough demo of the key features and rich functionality of SITA Safety Cube.  First you will see how frontline staff can submit safety reports, using web based or online and offline mobile Apps. In this instance you will see a pilot submit an ‘Unstable Approach’ report.  Customized dropdowns are available to assist for easy upload, and tablet and smart phone features allow for the upload of photos and current location. You will see how the safety team can, in turn, send feed-back and questions to the pilot regarding their submitted safety report via the system.  In this case ‘did you perform a go-around?’

  • SITA Safety Cube Demo 2 – Safety and Compliance Manager Workflow; Bow-tie Analysis
Next the demo moves to the perspective of the safety and compliance monitoring team. You will see how SITA Safety Cube provides the tools and functionality required to track risk and safety strategy effectiveness, including assigning responsibilities and due dates for implementation of risk mitigations. You will see how to build the dynamic bow-tie risk analysis model and risk matrix around your undesirable events, in our example ‘Unstable Approach’, and assign it to a hazard such as flaps failure, turbulence, windshear, etc. Safety Managers can then drill down to assign actions and mitigations to specific users to prevent future occurrences.  You will also see the risk matrix and risk assessment mapping of the risk index.

  • SITA Safety Cube Demo 3 – Compliance and Regulation Audits: IOSA, IR-OPS, Part-M, etc.
Finally, you will see a demo of the compliance audit process for operations and maintenance. Standards can be uploaded from every regulatory document such as IOSA, IR-OPS, Part-M, and more. You will see how to set up an audit using a checklist of pre-prepared options or easily add in a new option, then assign to key staff to begin the audit.  Any findings can then be assigned for further investigation along with deadlines.  The findings can also be linked to the risk matrix to ensure the whole process is fully integrated.
