Webinar Overview

*This webinar is for airlines and aircraft operators only

Register to attend this Webinar for an excellent chance to see a demo and full overview of ClearPath, the state-of-the-art automated real-time flight path / profile optimization solution from AVTECH. During the Webinar, and following work-flows for a typical flight, you will see how the solution combines real-time flight data (weight, used cost index, flight plan, pilot entered FMC performance and route data, etc.) with a sophisticated ground-based service that uses next-gen algorithms linked directly to the industry’s leading high-resolution global weather model, to provide pilots (via their flight deck printer or display) with an automated easy-to-read reportthat provides decision support for selecting the most optimal flight level in all stages of flight to save up to 5% of fuel and CO2 emissions for each flight.  As you will see ClearPath utilizes existing installed aircraft and datalink technology, such as ACARS and FMC, so requires no investment costs, ensuring installation is quick and seamless for all airlines and operators worldwide, operating any fleet.

During the Webinar AVTECH experts will walk you through a tour of ClearPath for a typical flight. You will see how the solution delivers to the flight deck, in real-time, the key profile data and automated reporting, via the flight deck printer or display. This provides pilots with the information they need to optimize in-flight step-climb/descent for the greatest efficiency gains. You will see how AVTECH services use enhanced global-high resolution weather provided by the UK Met Office, and how the weather data used in each computation is unique and tailored for each flight.  You will see how AVTECH retrieves this data in real-time to guarantee that the latest and most up-to-date weather is always used, ensuring the best optimizations in-flight. Finally, you will see case studies from Norwegian and Volotea showing real data and results from example flights, and how ClearPath has optimized each flight, plus experiences for implementation of best practices.

The Webinar is divided into 4 Key Sections:

  1. AVTECH and ClearPath Overview
The Webinar begins with an overview of AVTECH’s products and services, as used by airlines worldwide, and developed to assist airlines to reduce costs by increasing efficiency and safety. You will learn how the ClearPath flight path optimization service seamlessly integrates into an airline’s operations, providing accurate in-flight decision support for pilots to immediately improve flight efficiency.

  2. ClearPath Demo for a Typical Flight
Next you will see a full demo and overview of ClearPath.  You will see how the solution combines real-time flight data (weight, used cost index, flight plan, active FMS route, etc.) with a sophisticated ground-based service that uses next-gen algorithms linked directly to the industry’s leading high-resolution global weather model, to provide pilots with an easy-to-read report (via their EFB, or printer or display) that provides decision support for selecting the most optimal flight level in all stages of flight to save fuel, CO2 emissions and time.

  3. ClearPath Airline Case Studies: Norwegian and Volotea
Next, AVTECH experts will share analyses, data, and experiences from implementations of ClearPath on both Airbus and Boeing aircraft with case studies from Volotea and Norwegian.  You will see how the airlines are optimizing each flight and generating up to 5% of fuel and CO2 savings.  The data and analyses show where the most savings can be realized at particular sectors in each flight.

  4. UK Met-Office Global High-Resolution Weather Data
Finally, you will see how all AVTECH’s services use global high-resolution weather provided by UK Met Office, and how the weather data used in each computation is unique and tailored for each flight. You will see how AVTECH retrieves this data in real-time to guarantee that the latest and most up to date weather is always used, ensuring the best flight optimizations in-flight. As you will see, the weather data derived from Met Office’s High-Resolution model has an unmatched accuracy and reduces the error between actual and forecast winds to a minimum.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
