*This Webinar is for airlines and aircraft operators only
Register to attend this Webinar to see the future of real-time flight communications via a demo of the new AvioBook Connect App. As you will see the App gathers everyone assigned to a specific flight (pilots, crew, dispatch, gate agent, maintenance, OCC, etc.) in a secure chat room to receive automated alerts, exchange messages, request information, share live data, and effectively coordinate to minimize operational disruptions, and revolutionize the way airline stakeholders communicate for each flight. During the Webinar, the AvioBook Connect demo will follow the workflows for a typical flight. You will see how live aircraft and system data integrates with the App to provide automatically generated alerts as simple text bars, such as when the aircraft lands, or the doors open, or if there are last minute changes to the flight such as a crew or gate change, a flight delay or new OFP release. Team members can use the slash function in the Connect App to retrieve information. For instance, the pilots can use /METAR and the ICAO code of the airfield in question to request a weather update, or the cabin crew can use /33B to find out who is sitting in seat 33B. In addition to sending messages or sharing live updates directly with all key flight personnel, team members have the functionality to specify @Roles to ensure the right person is informed. So, for example, pilots can @Dispatch to contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight to request a new flight plan. You will also see how airlines can curate role-based messages to speed up comms, so for example, instead of cabin crew writing out long messages or making phone calls to alert that the luggage bins are full during boarding, that message can be sent in a single click.
The webinar begins with an overview of the popular AvioBook application suite and a look at the latest developments in our products. The team will take you through a snapshot of the integrated, modular suite of solutions: AvioBook Flight, Base, Cabin, Connect and AvioCast. The AvioBook team will then showcase their vision for the future of smart, integrated and automated messaging through AvioBook Connect. You will see how the App helps streamline workflows across flight operations thanks to better communication.
The Webinar is divided into the following key sections:
- The AvioBook Vision for the Future of Connected Operations
Based on market insights, the AvioBook team outlines the guiding principles for the development of its suite of solutions such as the need to focus not only on airline needs but also the end user experience, or looking at challenges in a holistic way to tackle them end-to-end. This tried and tested approach in the context of communications means that AvioBook are able to tackle airline concerns of today, such as the need to streamline communication between varied airline stakeholders, and into the future, harnessing the advantages that expanded connectivity brings.
- An overview of the AvioBook Application Suite (EFB, AID, Dispatch Tool, etc.)
Next you will see a look at the current status of the AvioBook suite. Solutions you will see include: AvioBook Flight – industry-leading EFB solution; AvioBook Base for OCC and dispatchers; AvioBook Cabin; AvioBook Connect – real-time airline comms; and AvioBook AvioCast – In-Flight connectivity and real-time data solution.
You will get a glimpse of future developments and how AvioBook Connect fits into the broader AvioBook suite. This includes the expansion of AvioBook’s situational awareness tool in Globe in AvioBook Flight and Base to bring in more data layers and interactive tools.
- AvioBook Connect Demo: The Future of Communication in Flight Operations
Next the AvioBook Team provides a full demo and overview of the AvioBook Connect App following the workflows for a typical flight. As you will see, AvioBook Connect is just that, an operational tool that combines chat functionalities with automatic system messages and smart actions. Automatic system messages are built on AvioBook’s extensive experience integrating with airline operational systems meaning that, for example, when a new OFP is requested and released this appears in a simple text bar in AvioBook Connect. With the roll out of the AID solution AvioCast, these automatic system messages can now include data directly from the aircraft such as when the aircraft lands or the doors open. Smart actions enable participants to either get information, such as requesting the latest METAR at the destination airport, or initiate actions through APIs like change gate messaging. AvioBook Connect therefore becomes a proactive support to the crew’s operations.
You will then Learn more about the product development, and see some of the latest features like role-specific quick replies, a countdown clock to take off, delivery and read receipts. tagging users by role, tagging users outside of the flightroom (based on permissions), a task list for supervisor roles, filters, document uploads, and more granular permissions.
- AvioBook Connect Demo: Key Features – Automated Messages, Role-Based Comms
During the Demo, the AvioBook team will highlight the key features showing how AvioBook Connect improves communication, saves turnaround time, and avoids misalignment. These include:
– Automating messages based on data from the AvioBook AID AvioCast that lets teams know when an airplane touches down or when doors are open; or through further system integrations to show if there are last minute changes to the flight such as a crew or gate change, a flight delay or new OFP release.
– Task prioritisation and alerts in chat rooms so that dispatchers are able to pay attention to the actions that matter most. For example, if the pilot requests a new OFT it is more important than scheduling changes which are hard to see and prioritise when it’s traditionally organised by phone.
– Airline-curated, role-based short messages to speed up communication in a professional way. You will also see how airlines can curate role-based messages to speed up comms, so that, for example, instead of cabin crew writing out long messages or making phone calls to alert that the luggage bins are full during boarding, that message can be sent in a single click. This means that cabin crew can focus on welcoming their guests. These short messages are created by the airline and organised by role so are incredible incredibly adaptable.
– The Ability to specify @Roles to ensure the right person is informed at the right time. So, for example pilots can @Dispatch to contact the dispatcher assigned to the flight to request a new flight plan.
– The functionality to access key info using the slash function. For instance, the pilots can use /METAR and the ICAO code of the airfield in question to request a weather update, or the cabin crew can use /33B to find out who is sitting in seat 33B.
- Conclusion and Q&A session
Bringing all these connected and dependent elements together, the AvioBook team will outline how together, they will lead to the future of digital flight operations and the future of flying. Finally, there is a Q&A session with Petra Lafond (Product Manager) and Ludwig Willems (Sales Manager). The webinar will close with your opportunity to ask questions about AvioBook’s vision for the future.
About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
