Webinar Overview

Please note: This Webinar is for airlines and operators only

Register to attend this Webinar to discover the brand-new Mission+ solution from NAVBLUE, Airbus’ Flight Operations subsidiary. Mission+ is the industry’s first Electronic Flight Assistant (EFA) bringing, for all stages of flight, a new digital and integrated experience to pilotscompared to paper and standalone Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications. During the Webinar you will see how, using Mission+, Pilots can manage, in one single integrated application, their complete flight and find all the information and data they need, from retrieving flight briefing packages, accepting the flight and calculating aircraft performance, to consulting flight documentation, real-time weather, airport maps, cockpit checklists, and lots more. Via solution demos you also will see how the application increases efficiency by reducing manual entries, and therefore risks of errors, and streamlines the flow of information between ground and onboard systems. As you will see Mission+ optimizes the Pilots’ journey from preparation to closure of a flight. The solution has been developed in close cooperation with airlines from various regions around the world and with Airbus pilots incorporating their feedback. Mission+ is available for iOS and Windows platforms and can be used by airlines of all sizes and fleet types (including non-Airbus). Additionally, airlines can design their own system by only selecting the features and optional modules to meet specific requirements.

The webinar begins with Airbus and NAVBLUE experts presenting Mission+ scope and associated operational benefits. This section will include the charting and mission management modules, both available for Airbus and non-Airbus aircraft types. Airbus operators will also see the benefits of having quick access to their aircraft performance calculations, documentation and checklists. It will then be followed by a demonstration of the key features from a pilot’s perspective throughout a flight journey from the flight preparation, during the execution and up to the closure of the flight. NAVBLUE will continuously enhance and add new features to Mission+ to meet the industry requirements and airlines’ needs. This session will end with some highlights on the next planned developments.

The Webinar is divided into three key sections:

  • Discover Mission+, an Electronic Flight Assistant
An overview of Mission+ covering the scope, main features and operational benefits for pilots. Mission+ includes two main modules: Mission+ MAPS for charting (enroute and terminal charts) and Mission+ FLIGHT for mission management (electronic flight folder), both fully integrated within the platform and available for Airbus and non-Airbus aircraft types. Operators can pick and choose the module adapted to their needs and on top they can also add options such as the Airport Moving Map (AMM) and/or weather data. Airbus operators can also benefit from the integration between Mission+ and Flysmart+ to get a quick access to aircraft performance calculations, documentation and checklists. Integrated and mission-centric, Mission+ is a unique platform which allows pilots to manage their complete flight, reduces the number of data entries and enhances flight efficiency.
  • Mission+ Demo: Join us on a pilot’s journey
An immersive experience of Mission+ with an Airbus Captain pilot covering all the different flight phases, from preparation up to reporting. Using Mission+, pilots can automatically retrieve their flight briefing packages on their tablets to prepare their mission, review weather data, and perform their flight acceptance. They can directly access Flysmart+ from Mission+ to compute take-off, use documentation and checklists. In flight, they can follow fuel and time parameters at each waypoint with the navlog function and they can use the moving map which displays the route, enroute data and also includes the Airport Moving Map for better situational awareness. After the flight, they can complete their post flight report, then exchanged with the dispatchers on the ground.
  • Get insights on the future features
Highlights of the next planned developments of Mission+ will be presented in this last section. Mission+ will continuously evolve to include new functionalities. As a next step, NAVBLUE will integrate and release incrementally new modules to the Mission+ platform such as Airbus aircraft performance calculations and documentation viewer. In addition, a web-based documentation manager for efficient authoring on the ground is under development.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
