Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 16th January 2025) to see the latest evolution of Generative AI technology (ChatGPT, Large Language Models – LLMs, ML – Machine Learning) for aviation with a demo of FinTwin® from KeepFlying®, designed to provide airlines, lessors, and MROs with the tools needed to generate aircraft, engine, or component specific what-if simulations in order to model future scenarios; and enables airworthiness and maintenance data sets to be LLM ready to take advantage of NextGen analytics. As you will see, FinTwin® interfaces with and draws data from existing ERP, MRO / M&E Systems, as well as other digital sources of maintenance, airworthiness and operational data – such as scanned PDFs; AI/ML techniques are then applied to the data.  Via demos of the FinTwin® platform, you will then see a series of use cases for airlines, lessors and MROs on how this data can be deployed in aviation tuned LLMs to model future scenarios and generate ROI on various business streams including increasing maintenance slot profitability, reducing inventory / spare parts holding costs, minimizing aircraft lease redelivery costs, and optimizing hangar and shop visits including automated task cards audits; plus specific aircraft and asset revenue and trading scenarios such as lease extensions, part-outs, and P2F conversions.  KeepFlying® will also demo their aviation equivalent of Chat GPT – the SkyBot™ CAMO co-Pilot, and how it interprets Airworthiness and Maintenance back to birth records in a matter of minutes to optimize aircraft transitions, evaluate the applicability of any modifications and their commercial impact, or chat with documents to search and retrieve references.

During the Webinar you will see demos of two FinTwin® solutions, showcasing the advanced and next generation features. Firstly, the FinTwin® Airlines & Lessors edition for AI driven records, automated Task Card audits, SkyBot™ CAMO co-Pilot to search documents, model aircraft transitions and redeliveries, AOG Risk Profiling, optimization of inventory and stock holding, SLA Tracking, and more. Secondly the FinTwin® MRO edition to manage MRO production plans, facilitate digital engine inductions, calculate residual values, predict scrap rates, manage capacity balancing and schedule optimization, utilize advanced forecasting techniques to optimize shop visits, and more. Finally, the KeepFlying® team will show how to easily deploy FinTwin® at any airline, MRO and Lessor and how to realize immediate ROI benefits.

The webinar is divided into seven key sections.

  1. How can the KeepFlying® FinTwin® help ingest, validate and index back-to-birth records?
Complex Airworthiness and Maintenance Records have traditionally been interpreted by experienced Aviation professionals to understand the status of an Aircraft, Engine or Component. While human experience can never be replaced, you will see how the KeepFlying® Aviation tuned Language Models allow Airlines, Lessors and MROs to have their data ecosystem ready to be consumed by LLMs that can offer great ROI across their business functions. You will see how KeepFlying® tune these LLMs to each Aircraft and Engine type.

  2. FinTwin® Demo 1: Managing MRO Production Plans, Bid-to-Cash & Profitability tracking for Engine MROs
Engine MROs achieve a slot profitability on an average of anywhere between 5-8% (when times are good). Data driven techniques in KeepFlying® can help MROs realize a slot profitability of around 13%, which can translate to over US$250k in bottom line revenue per engine overhaul. How can KeepFlying® add value across Engine MRO functions from Commercials, to Gate 0 Engineering across the Shop Floor Gates 1-4?

In this section, you will see the demo focusing on how profitability of Engine Shop Visits can be visualized and maximized prior to Engine arrival in shop using advanced forecasting techniques (configured for each Engine Type) and a Discrete Optimization Planning framework.  Key features you will see include:

  3. FinTwin® Demo 2: Scrap Rate Prediction, Maintenance Economics Forecasting
Engine PPIs and Trade Due Diligence around records can consume on an average US$50k per engagement. Interpreting Engine back-to-birth records, especially if the engine has flown across different operators, environments and thrust ratings, is a time-consuming process. How can KeepFlying® bring these costs down and simulate, forecast maintenance economics?

Next you will see the focusing on maximizing the revenue potential of an Engine over its Remaining Useful Life (RUL). This edition focuses on tracking residual life of Engines & Components as a factor of projected usage (Utilization, Environment, & Severity, Stub Loss) and monitoring projected cashflows as a factor of direct maintenance costs, contracts, LLPs, scraps and rentals. Key features you will see:
