Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 30th July 2020) and join SITA FOR AIRCRAFT as they walk you through how their portfolio of Flight Ops solutions can be deployed to provide airlines with smart and innovative support to assist towards COVID-19 recovery. As you will see, SITA FOR AIRCRAFT recently surveyed their customers to understand the key COVID-19 airline challenges. The Webinar will focus on the following five key challenges identified from the survey results and showcase practical examples of how the SITA FOR AIRCRAFT solutions can provide innovative support towards recovery:

  • Digitization and automation of Flight Operations processes for increased efficiency and to compensate for lost staff.
  • Remote desk and working from home options for flight ops personnel.
  • Getting ready to start operating new routes to generate crucial new revenue.
  • Ensuring passenger and crew safety during flight to increase customer trust and loyalty.
  • Increase on-flight ancillary revenue to maximise the airline’s revenue.

Finally, you will see an overview of a new collaboration solution being developed specifically to support real-time collaboration between the OCC and key flight personnel to better manage fuel, turnarounds, diversions, etc. As you will see this App makes it possible for OCC staff to work from home but still send and receive ACARS.

The Webinar is divided into three key segments:

  1. Identifying airline challenges for COVID-19 recovery:
    The Webinar will begin with an overview of the recent SITA FOR AIRCRAFT airline survey and learn about the current constraints for flight operations. You will then see the five main challenges where SITA FOR AIRCRAFT’s solutions or a combination of solutions can provide support.
  2. SITA FOR AIRCRAFT’s solutions overview to support airlines
    Next the SITA FOR AIRCRAFT experts will present the solutions for the discovered challenges including:
    eWAS pilot and eWAS Dispatch: Supports pilots and dispatchers with key flight ops info for new routes and provides digital and automated processes before and during flight.
    ACARS OVER IP: Send ACARS messages over IP – Cellular, to enable increased turnaround efficiency and lower cost for expansion of coverage.
    Mobile OnAir: Capability to send SMS to passengers explaining specific safety measures taken by the airline prior to flight.
    Internet OnAir: Option to display sanitizing measures on the IFE Portal and to provide dynamic price plan for passengers to access internet connection during flight for ancillary revenue.
    CrewTab: Makes it easier for the crew with onboard retailing and enables the Health Declaration form.
  3. Introduction and Overview of new collaboration solution
    Finally SITA FOR AIRCRAFT will present a new solution currently in development. As you will see this App is a collaboration tool designed to be used by all involved with each flight including flight crew, OCC, ramp and gate personnel, to better manage fuel, turnarounds, diversions, etc. The App can be used in combination with ACARS over IP to enable remote working.
