Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 18th November 2021) to see the latest developments in Digital Twin technology for aviation with a demo of Digital FinTwin® (Financial Twin), the new Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) solution from KeepFlying. As you will see FinTwin interfaces with and draws data from the MRO / M&E System, as well as other digital sources of maintenance, airworthiness and operational data. AI/ML techniques are then applied to the Data providing airlines, lessors and MRO facilities with the tools needed to generate aircraft, engine or component (Asset) specific what-if-simulations for specific future scenarios. During the Webinar KeepFlying experts will demo two FinTwin® solutions. Firstly, you will see the MRO Edition, which allows MRO Facilities to model different hangar and shop visits scenarios ahead of the arrival of the aircraft, engine or components, such as different work scopes and non-routines, in order to plan ahead and maximise profitability and reduce turnaround time. Secondly, you will see the FinTwin® Aircraft or Engine Owner / Lessor Edition which generate scenarios used to maximize the revenue potential and mitigate potential risks for an Asset over its remaining Useful Life (RUL). For example, what will happen if maintenance checks are reduced, or the aircraft is flown at a higher thrust rating, or in a more corrosive environment? How will that effect RUL, as well as impact key factors such as LLPs, maintenance reserves, etc.

The webinar is split into three sections.

  • Overview of KeepFlying® FinTwin®, the concept of Data Science as a Service platform, and roadmap

In the era of Digital Twins, you will initially understand why it is important to build a Digital FinTwin® for Aircraft, Engine and Component Assets and MRO hangar and shop visits. How can Airlines, Operators, Lessors, Financiers and MROs use the power of historical Asset data and Machine Learning to visualize the revenue potential and RUL of Assets as well as how to optimize MRO hangar and shop Visits for maximum profitability and reduced turnarounds? You will also see the roadmap for the KeepFlying® FinTwin® solution including a look atthe Aircraft FinTwin® – MRO Edition and the Aircraft FinTwin® – Lessor  / Asset Owner edition.

  • Demo 1: Engine FinTwin® – MRO Edition

Now, you will see the Engine FinTwin® – MRO edition demo focusing on how profitability of Engine Shop Visits can be visualized and maximized prior to Engine arrival in shop using advanced forecasting techniques (configured for each Engine Type) and a Discrete Optimization Planning framework.

Key features you will see:

  • Impact Engine Shop Visit Simulation
  • Impact of Operational Parameters (TSN, CSN, TSLV, CSLV, Rating, Average Min. Thrust Derate, SFC, EGT Margin) on Man Hours forecasting
  • Shop Visit Cost and Profitability Forecasting
  • TAT Risk Management
  • Discrete Optimization Planner
  • Dynamic Capacity Planner
  • Demo 2: Engine FinTwin® – Lessor / Aircraft or Engine Owner Edition

Next you will see the Engine FinTwin® – Lessor / Aircraft or Engine Owner edition demo focusing on maximizing the revenue potential of an Engine over its Remaining Useful Life (RUL). This edition focuses on tracking residual life of Engines and Components as a factor of projected usage (Utilization, Environment, and Severity or Stub Loss) and monitoring projected cashflows as a factor of direct maintenance costs, contracts, LLPs, scraps and rentals.

Key features you will see:

  • Asset Maintenance Value Manager – Full and Half Life
  • LLP Manager
  • Maintenance Reserves Manager
  • Shop Visit Forecasts
  • Engine Asset Finance Manager

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
