Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 9th March 2017) to see a full overview and as live demo of the popular and unique flight dispatch, crew briefing and journey log data portal – skybook from BYTRON. During the Webinar you will see how skybook integrates and centralizes all key information from different software solutions to provide one portal for flight dispatch, crew briefing, flight following, airfield watch, ETOPS charts, flight plan, documents, manuals, forms, and more…; plus how pilots can easily access this key briefing data before each specific flight via their Tablet devices and record Journey log information during flight.

The Webinar begins with a full overview of skybook as the complete flight dispatch, briefing and journey log solution before the BYTRON experts lead you through a live demo walkthrough of a typical flight; from dispatchers preparing the flight briefing pack and sending it to the pilots tablet devices, to the pilots receiving their data and ultimately signing off the flight.  You will also see some of the additional functionality and modules that skybook provides, such as Airfield Watcher, Planning Portal and settings/configuration, as well as learn about how the solution integrates with other 3rd Party data such as Jeppesen, Eurocontrol, AFTN and Weather Data to provide the complete solution.

The Webinar is divided into the following sections:

  • Live Demo 1: How a dispatcher views and releases flight data
First you will see how flight data is integrated and viewed within skybook and how Flight Ops prepares the flight briefing pack and sends the data to the pilots via the Tablet app.
  • Live Demo 2: The pilot Tablet app
Next you will see a walkthrough demo of each of the modules contained in the Pilot’s Tablet app, including the captain accepting the flight, viewing data for airfields, charts and maps (including ETOPS), signing off the flight plan, recording of flight data forms such as fueling or de-icing information, recording of flight data using the interactive PLOG, captains reports and, ultimately, signing off the flight.
  • Additional skybook functionality
Finally you will see some of the additional features available, such as Airfield Watcher, which provides display of significant weather and NOTAM information for relevant airfields.  You will also see an overview of the settings area which shows how easy it is to customize the data that is presented throughout skybook and a list of software integrations plus an outline of skybook’s powerful API to ensure all key data is transferred to the solution.

Webinar Agenda:

  • BYTRON company introduction
  • Overview of skybook as a complete flight dispatch, briefing and journey log system
  • Context of Flight dispatch / Ops pre flight briefing in the ground portal
  • Walkthrough demo of the Pilot’s Tablet app
  • Summary of additional functionality contained within skybook
