Webinar Overview

Register to view this Webinar recording (recorded 8th May 2014) and join AviIT for this excellent Paperless and Mobile MRO Technical Publications (TechPubs) Management Software Demonstration Webinar, including an as Live iPad Demonstration and Offline/Remote Capability Overview.

Via an as live demo [including an iPad Demo from an engineer’s perspective] of the popular eMan software solution and following processes already used by MROs, business jet, helicopter operators and airlines such as airberlin technik, Monarch Aircraft Engineering, Virgin Atlantic, Greenwich Aero Group and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, this Webinar recording walks you through how to maintain an effective centralized electronic paperless technical library, highlight how to reduce heavy IT client support and ensure that all the maintenance engineers can easily access key updated technical documents and publications at any time and at any location (inc. Offline) on mobile devices such as iPads and Laptops.

During the Webinar you see how a sophisticated software solution can assist you to overcome the challenges in the management of an effective system for the distribution of technical documents / publications.  You see how to maintain accurate, updated technical documentation; make sure that engineering teams have access to, and are working with the most current version of maintenance documentation (no matter where they are based); and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.  All of which leads to improved productivity and reduced costs for Librarians, IT departments and the aircraft maintenance engineers, ultimately resulting in less aircraft down time.

The key issues this Webinar recording covers include:

  • The benefits of a centralized electronic library for management and distribution of Technical Publications
  • How to have remote access to documents (pdf, Word, Excel, etc) and Vendor/OEM provided applications through a single interface.
  • Tablet access for increased portability and mobility.  You will see a live iPad demonstration of how engineers can access their key documents and publications at their point of work.
  • How to stay connected in remote and offline locations via an industry unique laptop based syncing tool.

Further Webinar Preview & the Challenges of managing a technical documents / publications library:

There are many challenges in the management of an effective system for the distribution of technical documents. Such systems must accommodate documents from a variety of vendors, regulatory authorities, customers and the organisation’s internal departments such as Operations and Engineering. The information is provided in an equally wide range of formats from relatively straightforward standards such as PDF and Word through to that which is provided in within the wrapper of a proprietary application.

The librarian must ensure that the processes and systems provide a means to smoothly accommodate the constant updating of this significant body of information and ensure that this is available to all operational hands as quickly as possible. This may involve distribution across a wide geographical base in a consistent manner, ideally with a suitable degree of tracking of system use.

There are a number of ways to achieve this but the increasing requirement of often overstretched IT resources to ensure minimum impact is favouring the use of cloud based solutions.

As you will see in the Webinar, eMan has been designed to address these challenges while minimizing demands upon IT. Available for on-premise deployment or as a cloud-based hosted offering. This Webinar examines the principle challenges in maintaining an effective technical library, highlight through a live demonstration how eMan addresses these as well as encompassing the latest in portable technologies, such as the iPad, to provide a more effective operational environment for maintenance and repair.

Webinar Agenda:

  • How to gain remote access to documents (pdf, Word, Excel, etc) and Vendor provided applications through a single interface
