Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 30th January 2025) to see the latest advances in real-time data technology with an overview and demo of Aviadex.io, the maintenance data exchange and data analysis platform from QOCO, as used by over 40 airlines and operators, plus OEMs, MROs, and lessors, including Rolls-Royce, to share data and real-time analysis with customers worldwide. As you will see Aviadex.io is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that enables secure, automated data streams between different systems and Apps that had not previously been synced, eliminating the time and costs of integrating various IT systems company-wide and with key partners. In addition, you will see how the solution can receive and deliver data in any required format (inc. PDF, Excel, etc.), then validate and quality check data, flagging any issues. It also provides users with innovative real-time data analysis tools to optimize shop visit forecasts and work package planning, with real-time work completion and defect reports. During the Webinar, QOCO experts will discuss and demo examples of real-time data exchange using Aviadex.io, including between an airline and an engine MRO, showcasing how the solution integrates the two M&E systems and provides the MRO with the data and tools needed to fully plan the engine shop visit well in advance, from ordering spare parts to optimizing the work packages. You will see some advanced features, such as taking into consideration flight cycles, Aviadex automatically calculates which parts and which LLPs or rotables need to be changed or overhauled and modified during the shop visit.
The Webinar begins with an overview of QOCO and its product suite, before looking at the challenges facing aviation maintenance with unprecedented passenger demand, at a time when MRO facilities are struggling to keep pace, and will address these critical questions:
- How severe are the current engine and airframe maintenance delays, and what impact do they have on the broader industry?
- What are the main challenges holding back MRO operations, such as system integration issues and low-quality data?
- How can real-time data technology help MROs meet growing demand, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency?
- What makes QOCO’s approach, with strong references like Rolls-Royce, unique in solving these challenges?
As you will see, via the use cases and product demos, Aviadex.io can provide users with an enabler for growth and allow them to break free from the bottleneck.
The Webinar is divided into the following 5 key sections:
- QOCO Introduction and Aviadex Overview
First, the QOCO experts will introduce themselves and their product suite: MROTools.io, Assignment, and Aviadex.io. You will then learn more about Aviadex.io for aviation data exchange. As you will see Aviadex.io was built to address the inefficiencies surrounding the usual manual processes in aviation maintenance, such as manual data entry which leads to data quality issues, siloed data remaining at one company with different formats going back and forth such as PDFs between key partners such as airlines and MROs. Added to this are legacy software systems that have lacked the capabilities for integration, Aviadex.io assists MROs, OEMs and airlines to seamlessly exchange key data.
- Aviation Maintenance Industry Challenges and how Data Exchange and Digital Solutions can solve these problems
Next, the team sets out the challenges facing the aviation maintenance industry. With unprecedented passenger demand, engine and airframe MRO operations are struggling to keep pace, creating significant challenges for airlines and MRO facilities. Recent reports, such as Air Baltic’s planned cancellation of 4,700 flights next summer due to engine maintenance delays, highlight the severity of the situation.
As you will see, with access to real-time data the key stakeholders can meet this challenge. For example, if an engine OEM has better visibility of their fleet in operation, they will have better tools to forecast potential shortages, such as demand in a certain part or breakdowns of certain parts, and have time to react. MROs can use their capacity more efficiently and reduce turnaround times so free up more slots, etc.
- Aviadex.io Use Case and Demo 1: Engine Shop visit Forecast
Next you will see some use cases and demos of the platform starting with an Engine Shop Visit. Typically, all the paperwork relating to the engine at part level is delivered quite close to the engine induction time resulting in limited planning time. Using Aviadex.io, the MRO will have access to real-time data and be able to forecast the timing of the engine shop visit more than a year in advance and perform an accurate pre-work scope months in advance, including ordering spare parts, so that when the engine arrives everything is set.
You will also see some advanced features within the Engine Shop Visit Forecast tool, such as taking into consideration flight cycles; Aviadex automatically calculates which parts and which LLPs or rotables need to be changed or overhauled and modified during the shop visit, and more.
- Aviadex.io Use Case and Demo 2: Airlines and MROs – Real-Time Planning & Work Packages
Next you will see how, with access to the data, an MRO can drill down into the maintenance planning tool and see the upcoming maintenance slots and work packages, and then optimize each airframe check. Airlines and MROs can both check the work scopes and make any changes in their M&E systems, and communicate with each other in real-time, for example, in cases of defects during the maintenance production. Airlines can also check how the maintenance process is progressing, which task cards have been completed, is it running on time, etc.
- Implementation process: Software as a Service (SaaS)
Finally, the team will discuss the implementation process. As you will see Aviadex.io is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, so it can seamlessly integrate into any IT infrastructure, without the need for in-house development. Aviadex.io has a modular integration architecture with lots of built-in logic, and has integrators with each of the most used M&E Systems in the industry, enabling a quick onboarding process, and can deliver significant value from the beginning.
About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
