Ultramain Systems, Inc. (USI) announces the commercial release of their platform-independent mobility tools for aircraft Maintenance and Inventory operators.  ULTRAMAIN®Mobile Mechanic™ and Mobile Inventory™ software products provide fleet operators and MROs with mobile capabilities on numerous devices including the iPad®, iPad mini, iPhone®, Galaxy Tab® and Galaxy Note® to name a few. The mobile suite is compatible with iOS, Android and Windows devices capable of wireless operations via WiFi, Cellular or Bluetooth.

According to John Stone, Vice President of Product Management for Ultramain Systems, “Delivering easy-to-use mobile functionality is an important part of Ultramain Systems’ product strategy. We’ve already proven that eliminating the paper aircraft technical log is possible with our highly successful efbTechLogs™ software, and now we’re extending paperless M&E operations to mobile devices on the ground.” Stone went on to say, “Paperless operation using mobile devices is now possible in complex aircraft maintenance environments with the availability of Mobile Mechanic and Mobile Inventory.”

Mobile Mechanic makes capabilities available to maintenance technicians in a mobile environment that were traditionally only available from fixed, hard-to-access M&E systems. Mobile Mechanic makes them available from virtually anywhere without the overhead, costs, and required use of paper typically associated with such systems”, said Mark McCausland, President of Ultramain Systems. He added, “Mobile Inventory can additionally operate on specialized handheld barcoding devices.”

Stone pointed out that USI has extensive experience developing paperless M&E software and stated, “Ultramain Systems is the only software provider with aircraft M&E/MRO customers running paperlessly on both the line maintenance and base maintenance side of the business. It gets even better with Mobile Mechanic and Mobile Inventory because paperless operation in a highly regulated environment can now be accomplished using mobile devices.”

Stone concluded, “Ultramain is currently delivering the new mobile products to current select customers. It is not limited to ULTRAMAIN and is also available as a stand-alone offering for operation with a customer’s existing M&E system, or in conjunction with the ULTRAMAIN M&E/MRO software offering.”
