AvioVision announces today that it has signed an EFB software agreement with Thomson Airways, the airline for holiday brands Thomson and First Choice, to rollout the AVIOBOOK EFB software fleet-wide on its Class 2 EFB devices. Initial trials are planned to start already this November.

AVIOBOOK is a user-friendly, comprehensive EFB software suite containing multiple operational applications and capable of running on tablets, laptops or onboard installed equipment. The software has been approved in 6 countries, allows a complete paperless flight operation and is augmented with a robust back-end administration tool.

Phil Ganewski, Manager Flight Support at Thomson Airways, explains: “We needed a system that would not only deliver the immediate requirements of our Class 2 EFB project, but also provide a platform on which we could plan and add further functionalities in the future. Although we had some unique requirements, the Aviovision team worked closely with us and a variety of third party software suppliers, and managed to successfully deliver the integrated, flexible and scalable solution we needed.”

“We are extremely happy to welcome Thomson Airways as a leading customer in our airline segment,” says Kris Van den Bergh, AvioVision’s CEO. ”Thomson Airways has impressed us with a very professional team with clear and mature operational EFB requirements, which will prove to be an essential part of a successful EFB project. We are very proud to be part of this!”
