Swiss GIMOTA Group decides for PSIpenta ERP System

Multi-site installation for five plants

Berlin, 9 October 2013 – PSI AG Schweiz, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Berlin production specialist PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH, has been contracted by the Swiss GIMOTA Group with the implementation of the ERP solution PSIpenta.

GIMOTA Group will implement PSIpenta/ERP as a multi-site installation in five plants. Furthermore, the partner products PiSA sales will be used as the CRM system and Sage200 as the finance system. The decision in favour of the PSI solution was made after a nearly eight-month selection process. The high functionality coverage in the PSIpenta standard, the possibility of including all the organisations in the overall process via multi-site with only one installation and the expertise of the PSI team were decisive in selecting PSI for the contract.

The GIMOTA Group consists of five different companies, which in the future will work together with PSIpenta/ERP as a multi-plant solution. The Gimota AG, headquartered near Zurich and founded in 1961 by Otto Schoch, is specialised in the production and delivery of circular and data connectors for use in railroad vehicles and today supplies almost all the leading railway vehicle producers and companies. The OTTO SCHOCH AG is specialised in cable shoes and connectors and special tools for their processing. The Mechafin AG offers high quality welding torches, wire feeders and welding accessories. The GAMAG AG delivers high-performance bolting technology and the NEUENSCHWANDER AG is specialised in the trading of hardware and metal products, tools and machinery.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 1,600 persons worldwide.
