AMOS community grew by 11 new members

In 2014, Swiss-AS’ MRO software AMOS was adopted by 11 new customers, among them well-known names such as Philippine Airlines, EL AL Israel Airlines, and Aerolíneas Argentinas.

In line with the growth of the AMOS community, the Swiss-AS team has likewise expanded (20% FTE growth in 2014). Today Swiss-AS has more than 140 employees who support the growing number of customers and are committed to the further development of AMOS. A strong performance in 2014 was reflected in a more than impressive growth in revenue of around 22%.

A big step in 2014 was the relocation of Swiss-AS headquarters to a location in Allschwil (Basel), close to

the airport. The bright and modern office space is easily accessible from the airport and the main station by public transport or taxi. The new location offers our customers modern facilities for classroom training and meetings.

The year 2014 was also characterised by two significant anniversaries: Firstly, AMOS, which was launched as a software development project within Crossair in 1989, turned 25. Secondly, the company Swiss-AS, which was founded in 2004 when the AMOS business activities were transferred from the IT department of SWISS to the newly founded subsidiary of SWISS , namely “Swiss Aviation Software”, celebrated its 10th birthday.

On the functional side, Swiss-AS appointed a dedicated team which focuses on developing the touch-optimised mobile package AMOSmobile that will initially compile a suite of modules covering the line maintenance process – to be launched in 2015. In addition, the roll-out of new and enhanced functions with regard to AMOS 10 was continued in 2014 providing our customers with a state-of-the-art software solution.
