Promulgated by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), SMS or Safety Management System, signifies a new, proactive and predictive management approach to safety in aviation. Pertinent to mention here that regulations rendering SMS a mandatory requirement for Operations, are just around the corner.  

ARMS®V2  SQMS promises to be the solution to the SMS challenge and with a far-sighted vision of future requirements, the development team at SDS has integrated the Quality aspects of an Aviation Operation also into this sub-system resulting in a robust application, which can assist an Airline/Air Operator to manage myriad Safety functions like Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Audits, investigations and Safety Meetings in tandem with Quality functions of Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) and Maintenance Operations Quality Assurance (MOQA).

SQMS can either run as an intrinsic sub-system of ARMS® and draw the required inputs from the common data base at the heart of ARMS® or alternatively, interface with an existing third-party data base to achieve the same objectives of Safety; for smaller Operators, the inputs can even be manual. ARMS®V2 SQMS modules include:

• Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
• Occurrence Reporting and Management (OCRM)
• Audit Management (AUDM)
• Meetings Manager (METM)
• Investigation Management (INVM)
• Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA)
• Maintenance & Engineering Quality Assurance (MEQA) and
• Integrated Data and Document Management System. (DDMS)
• eSQMS – a dedicated Web Portal extension accessible through a browser
