Guildford, UK, 16th June 2014 – RocketRoute this week has launched 2 new technology initiatives to assist commercial airlines in boosting their tactical systems.

1. Online Eurocontrol Filing and Messaging Gateway

RocketRoute was the first vendor in the world to connect to Eurocontrol and start filing flight plans using their next generation XML interface. RocketRoute has developed deep expertise in these systems and is now offering carriers a virtual filing gateway using this technology that can be used for primary flight plan filing or as a backup.

This new technology is highly scalable and robust, fast and at a significantly lower cost of ownership versus traditional AFTN network gateway systems.

2. European Route Proposal and Validator Terminal

RocketRoute is offering carriers a low cost web terminal for ad-hoc routing requests within the Eurocontrol region. This is ideal for dynamic situations such as controller strikes, for quick route lookups and for checking existing routings are still valid in Europe.

Uwe Nitsche CEO and Founder said “We have found that carriers are now definitely over paying for legacy technology and should be looking to switch to smarter newer solutions. Both of these new offerings provide airlines with a tangible quick win that can use to enhance their business agility.”
