- Rionegro MRO becomes the first pure MRO customer in Americas to go live with AMOS.
- They provide maintenance support to major airline airline operators.
Rionegro MRO, located in Rionegro Colombia, has successfully gone live with AMOS, becoming the first pure MRO operator in the Americas to do so.
With AMOS, Rionegro MRO now benefits from a fully integrated platform that streamlines every aspect of maintenance operations, including planning and execution, to documentation and reporting. The system enables Rionegro MRO to work more efficiently, deliver higher-quality service, and stay closely coordinated with airline customers.
The implementation includes multiple AMOS modules, such as Production, Staff, Shops, Procurement, and Stores. A key feature is the Workpackage Cycle, which enables smooth information exchange between Rionegro MRO and customer’s systems, ensuring maintenance tasks are accurately tracked and executed.

Reflecting on the implementation, Giovanny Velez, Maintenance Coordinator at Rionegro MRO, highlighted both the technical and human aspects of the project:
“The strong communication and synergy between the teams were key to successfully integrating the adopted solutions. I’m proud to have been part of a project that stands out not only for its technical success, but also for its strong human values and professional excellence. ”
Giovanny Velez, Maintenance Coordinator at Rionegro MRO
From a planning perspective, Madeleine Amaya, Maintenance Planner at Rionegro MRO, emphasized the learning experience and hands-on support throughout the process:
“The support from the implementation team made a real difference—they were always available and explained the system clearly. It helped me understand how processes connect and adapt to a new way of working.”
Madeleine Amaya, Maintenance Planner at Rionegro MRO
During go-live, all ongoing work packages were successfully transferred, ensuring continuity for active maintenance tasks delivering the first aircraft in their first day of operation. Since then, Rionegro MRO has already created 100% of their work packages successfully, from which many of them have been completed and closed in the system, some containing over 1,000 individual customer requests.
At a strategic level, Elisa de Saravia, CIO of MRO Holdings, underlined the importance of partnership:
“This project shows what’s possible when a partner truly aligns with its customer. Commitment, collaboration, and understanding of our needs made the difference. Thank you to Swiss-AS for a great start to a relationship that will undoubtedly continue to grow.”
Elisa de Saravia, CIO of MRO Holdings
Leading the initiative, Project Manager of MRO Holdings, Nohemy Castaneda, described the implementation as a defining milestone:
“This has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my career. This achievement would not have been possible without the outstanding support from the Swiss-AS team and the strong commitment of our implementation team. The professionalism and proactive mindset from both teams made this achievement possible, and I’m proud to have worked alongside such a world-class group of professionals.”
Nohemy Castaneda, Project Manager of MRO Holdings

This on-time implementation gives Rionegro MRO a scalable, future-ready platform that can grow with the business, helping the team developing the ability to serve multiple airlines efficiently and laying the foundation for potential future AMOS deployments.
