In October 2025, the company launched CustoTool for Airbus Helicopters, followed by the signing of a strategic contract with Airbus Defence and Space in November, positioning OBE Solutions at the forefront of standards-based digital aviation documentation.

These partnerships position OBE Solutions as a pioneer in delivering end-to-end flight operations content management solutions built on the emerging ATA 2300 standard—from OEM authoring through to operator crew implementation.

OBE Solutions aims to support the complete documentation lifecycle. CustoTool, now deployed for Airbus Helicopters, enables operators to seamlessly import and customize OEM-provided data, create and update company manuals, manage document revisions and approvals, and maintain proactive compliance tracking through an intuitive interface. This innovative solution addresses a critical industry need: while Airbus Helicopters produces documentation in ATA 2300-native format, their operator customers required sophisticated tools to handle, customize, and maintain this next-generation data throughout its lifecycle.

The partnership highlights an industry shift toward adopting standards-based documentation management solutions that deliver measurable improvements in safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Through close collaboration with leading aircraft manufacturers, OBE Solutions is building an integrated aviation documentation ecosystem that spans from OEM content creation to operator flight deck delivery.

As an active member of the ATA e-Business Program, OBE Solutions advocates for standards-based aviation documentation while ensuring practical interoperability. The company’s format converters integrate existing data and systems, enabling customers to adopt ATA 2300 solutions regardless of their current documentation formats.

Beyond operator-focused solutions, OBE Solutions is developing ProdTool, an OEM Component Content Management System (CCMS) designed to author envelope-level flight ops data in ATA 2300 format, further strengthening the end-to-end pipeline and ensuring consistency from source to cockpit. ProdTool provides advanced content reuse functionality, applicability management and fleet-based exports.

Airbus Helicopters’ and Airbus Defence and Space’s decisions to adopt ATA 2300 for their newer programs—and to select OBE Solutions as their implementation partner—underscore a pivotal industry trend.
