COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – International Flight Support (IFS) is proud to announce that Norse Atlantic Airways has selected EFBOne as its Electronic Flight Bag platform provider. Following a thorough assessment involving Flight Operations, IT, Dispatch, Fuel, and Procurement, Norse Atlantic chose EFBOne to digitize and optimize cockpit workflows across its growing global network, connecting Europe with the US, Asia, and Africa.

The selection process was based on a hands-on trial led by Norse’s Deputy Chief Pilot and EFB Admin, Alexander Helge. The trial took place during live long-haul flights, utilizing fully parsed Electronic Flight Folder (EFF) data to confirm that the system met the needs of their diverse operations, ranging from high-traffic hubs such as New York, Rome, and Athens to long-range destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket, and Cape Town.

Beyond standard operational testing, the trial highlighted the unique flexibility of the EFBOne platform. Utilizing NEO, the EFBOne self-service configuration tool, the team was able to independently modify screen layouts and implement conditional logic in the demo environment prior to any training. This capability allowed Norse to validate that they could adapt the EFB to their specific SOPs without reliance on vendor-side change requests.

The partnership was strengthened by a detailed alignment phase involving Norse’s IT, Dispatch, Fuel, and Procurement teams. The final solution supports critical operational requirements across their network, including:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Automated data flows supporting complex reporting mandates such as ReFuelEU.
  • Operational Awareness: The distribution of central loadsheets and integrated inbound/outbound data workflows.
  • Navigation Standards: Specific configurations for NAT HLA waypoints, ensuring compliance on oceanic tracks to the US.
  • Data Integration: Extensive use of the EFBOne Export Service to ensure data captured in the cockpit is instantly available to third-party systems and internal databases.

We are thrilled to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways to the IFS family. Our goal is to help the Norse team streamline their operations and ensure that cockpit processes are as smooth and efficient as possible, whether they are flying to the US, Thailand, or South Africa. It was particularly rewarding to see their team embrace our configuration tools so early in the process, proving that EFBOne can truly be tailored to their unique operational SOPs.” – Yuliia Dolko, EFB Expert

The announcement follows the successful completion of EFBOne Admin Training by the Norse team in Copenhagen, marking the beginning of the implementation phase.

“Being able to test EFBOne hands-on with our own flight plans and operational data made a significant difference in our decision. The platform is intuitive and highly configurable, allowing us to tailor workflows to our specific needs from the very start. As an airline operating a diverse mix of long-haul scheduled and ACMI flights, flexibility and digital data integration are essential for us. EFBOne stood out by combining modern functionality, strong operational support, and the ability for our team to adapt the system independently as our requirements evolve.”
