New Joint Venture in HC Andersens Airport, Denmark, For Test And Maintenannce of UAV’s

Scandinavian Avionics A/S (SA) and Integra Consult A/S establishes a new joint venture company, which will act as test and maintenance center for UAV’s. The new company will be moving into UAS Test Center Denmark placed at HC Andersens Airport in Odense, Denmark.

The purpose of the new joint venture is partly to have the facilities to perform test and maintenance, and to modify the UAVs as required. It is expected to be governmental as well as civil operators, and also universities are expected to be among the future customer groups. The overall purpose of the joint venture is to deliver the full package to end users in the professional UAV sector.

The first project SA and Integra has in the pipeline deals with the University of Aarhus in connection with the establishment of Villum Research Station at Station Nord in Greenland to operate UAV’s in research projects. Here is a Penguin B from UAVFactory to be installed with sensors among other avionics equipment. SA is providing safety approvals, certifications and installation of avionics and other equipment. Integra contributes with the operation of drones, selection of sensors, dialogue with Transport Authority (approvals). Integra is also examining the possibility of getting permissions to fly Beyond Line of Sight internationally.

The official announcement of the new joint venture company happens on Thursday, April 23, associated with the “Kick-off Conference – Commercial Possibilities in UAS” organized by CenSec and Inno-Pro, at the HC Andersen Airport in Odense, Denmark. There will be both national and international operators present.
