NetLine/Sched Slot Manager supports airlines with slot planning for 2018/19 winter schedule

Apply for slots by April 23 and May 17

For airlines, the critical phase of planning their 2018/19 winter schedule will start in just a few weeks. Airlines and airport coordinators will have to work closely together observing a clearly defined time frame: By April 23, coordinators must inform airlines of their historical slot rights. The airlines will then have time until May 10 to make use of their grandfather rights. This means that airlines which have used a slot at least 80 percent of the time in their previous winter schedule have the right to retain this slot in their 2018/19 winter schedule. In the period leading up to May 17, airlines can reuse their historical slots, adjust them to fit a new schedule or request new slots.

Data no longer has to be entered manually, but employees always retain full control over slot management because they can make manual changes if necessary. The program recognizes the effect of schedule changes on an airline’s historical slot rights at an early stage, thus preventing the loss of valuable slots.
