Navtech Supports Spanish Start-Up Charter Airline
Let’s Fly to use Navtech Flight Plan

February 14, 2013 (TORONTO) – Navtech Inc., a leader in flight operations software and services, has entered into a new multi-year agreement with charter airline, Let’s Fly, for provisioning of flight planning software.  Navtech Flight Plan (NFP) will be supplied to the Spanish airline which operates from Barcelona to a variety of European destinations.  Let’s Fly offers ad hoc and long term charters with their ATR42-320 and Metro III aircraft.  The airline’s target market is clientele that require short-to-medium range flights where they can provide the best quality flight through full or wet lease services.

“Navtech is pleased to work with Let’s Fly and to support a start-up venture during these challenging economic times,” said Mr. Ashley Heard, European Sales Director at Navtech. “The airline needed specific assistance to meet EU OPS compliance issues and NFP fit the bill.” Navtech Flight Plan is notably gaining new customers in the European market.  The latest software release is showcasing the product’s innovation to airlines as well as the advantage of choosing an aviation supplier which can provide value with functionality.

Navtech Flight Plan (NFP) provides complete control over managing mission critical resources. NFPcalculates and presents optimized routes between any given airport pair taking into consideration RAD, CRAM and other AIP regulatory restrictions. The result is optimized for least cost, least time, or least fuel. NFP is the natural choice for creating routes in complicated airspace such as Europe – where route restrictions are increasing in numbers and complexity. The system also supports free flight, ensuring users have the tools necessary to create, maintain, and manage the most optimal routes for their operation. Additionally, NFP includes the following benefits/features:

  • Advanced ETOPS and terrain avoidance features
  • GRIB 2 formatted winds using .5-degree grid and updated every 3 hours
  • Airline specific databases provide users control of their own data
  • Automated Flight Planning
  • Workload management and alerting
  • Over-flight and landing permit management
  • World-wide mapping
  • Seamless integration with most common crew management, operations control, scheduling and maintenance applications

“We found Navtech while looking for software that automatically calculates escape routes and we discovered that their software had amazing capabilities,” said Let’s Fly Director of Operations, Mr. Manuel Salhi. “We found the solution extremely flexible, easy to use, and it presents the information in a way that facilitates the work of the  operations officers to avoid common mistakes and save time.”
