Navtech Signs Strategic Partnership with Air Wisconsin for Electronic Charts

Waterloo, ON – September 28, 2015  –
Navtech, a leader in flight operations software and services, has signed a strategic partnership with Air Wisconsin to provide aeronautical charts for use onboard its fleet of 71 Bombardier CRJ-200s.

With its corporate headquarters in Appleton, WI, Air Wisconsin is one of the leading regional airlines in the United States operating regional jet flights as American Eagle for American Airlines, serving 70 cities in the US and Canada with hubs in Philadelphia PA, Washington D.C., and Charlotte NC. Known for its exceptional on-time service, Air Wisconsin’s progressive business and technology plans require partners and solutions with similar characteristics, and Navtech was its choice for aeronautical charts.

The parties are accelerating Air Wisconsin’s transition to an electronic flight bag with Navtech’s state-of-the-art cockpit solution, eCharts EFB for iOS. Navtech’s eCharts EFB for iOS is already used by major airlines globally, and Air Wisconsin’s adoption of this solution heralds its immediate and timely advent into the North American market. eCharts EFB for iOS provides pilots with quick and easy access to the most up-to-date information as well as customization options based on user and organization size.

“This is a significant partnership for both Navtech and Air Wisconsin, and speaks to the dedication and commitment Navtech has invested into its navigation products for the Americas market,” states Kevin Ficco, Vice President Global Sales and Marketing at Navtech.

“Navtech’s reputation for great service and quality has earned them business worldwide providing charts to more than 100 carriers,” said Janet Huculak, Vice President – Strategic Sourcing at Air Wisconsin. “By partnering with Navtech, we will become their launch customer in the United States and we look forward to working with them and their dedicated commitment to ensuring the success of this important project.”
