Navtech Acquires DW International

Waterloo, ON – April 30, 2015 – Navtech, a leader in flight operations software and services, announced today that it has acquired DW International (DWI). The acquisition of DWI is part of Navtech’s continued investment strategy to accelerate global growth and expand its product and service offerings.

Based in the United Kingdom, DWI is an industry leader of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) solutions. DWI’s solutions directly align with Navtech’s products, specifically with Navtech Flight Plan and Navigational Data solutions. DWI dominates the global market for Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) predictions for Global Positioning Satellite (GPS)-based airline operations and supplies key PBN tools for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) and airports around the world.

“We are continuing to execute against our strategic plan and investing in the business.  The acquisition of DWI is an adjacent business and will complement our current products and services,” stated Mike Hulley, CEO and President of Navtech. “We look forward to a seamless integration of DWI as we take the newly combined solutions to the market for the benefit of all our customers.”

“This pairing with Navtech will allow for growth within the marketplace without losing sight of what has made DWI so successful: knowledge of the industry, delivering solutions, and an absolute commitment to individual customers and their needs,” stated John Wilde, CEO of DWI. “I am excited about moving forward together, as one, and engaging with existing and new customers alike to enhance our future growth prospects.”

DWI is uniquely positioned within the PBN solution market and complements Navtech’s core business of flight operations and navigation data services. Synergies between DWI and Navtech will allow Navtech to expand its capabilities into the PBN solution market, as well as continuing to build on its existing suite of products, grow product roadmaps and provide consultancy services.
