Ottawa, Canada (March 25, 2014) – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, today announced the appointment of Jon Slangerup to the company’s Board of Directors. A senior-level executive with experience bridging both aviation and technology, Mr. Slangerup joins the board having previously held the position of President of FedEx Canada among other C-level postings within leading technology companies.
Mr. Slangerup is an Executive Advisor to Moelis Capital Partners and for the past 20 years has served as a president, CEO and/or director of both public and private companies. With domain expertise in aviation, logistics and energy, Mr. Slangerup has built global businesses ranging from technology startups to a billion-dollar subsidiary of FedEx Corporation. His career began in military and commercial aviation, leading to a distinguished 20-year career with FedEx. Since FedEx, Mr. Slangerup has served as a CEO, director and/or investor of companies focused on bringing advanced energy and environmental technologies to market.
In addition to his appointment to the Board of Mxi Technologies, Mr. Slangerup serves as Chairman of AgraSystems International and as a Trustee of his alma mater, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he graduated with honors in Aeronautics. Mr. Slangerup also holds an MBA from Kennedy-Western University.
