Earlier today, Moelis Capital Partners (MCP) – a private investment firm out of New York – announced a definitive agreement to acquire Mxi Technologies. MCP is a middle market private equity firm founded in 2007 in connection with the formation of Moelis & Company, a global independent investment bank.  MCP manages $700 million of committed private equity capital and specializes in traditional private equity investments in the middle market, and has targeted Aerospace and Defense companies as one of the key investment areas in their portfolio.

MCP has an excellent track record in growing and developing businesses and sees great potential for Mxi:

  • The company and its current management team stay intact to support Mxi’s drive to expand its market footprint – a ringing endorsement for the company. 
  • Dave Seibel, President and CEO of Mxi Technologies and Chairman of the Board, now welcomes Kurt Larsen, Greg Share, and Jim Johnson of MCP to the Mxi Board replacing the existing board members.
