Lufthansa Systems moves into new company headquarters

Open-plan offices in an energy-efficient building to encourage interaction and communication

Raunheim, November 15, 2017 – Tradition meets the future: Over the past months, the new Lufthansa Systems company headquarters have taken shape at Airport Garden in Raunheim near Frankfurt. Open-plan workspaces have been created to promote communication and teamwork between the around 800 employees in the modern new building.

“We involved our employees early on in the planning of the new building and worked with them to create a new and inspiring environment. All employees will work in open-plan offices. This improves communication and supports the introduction of a flexible workplace model, which also promotes cooperation on various teams and projects,” said Stefan Auerbach, CEO of Lufthansa Systems.

The new building offers a total of 18,000 square meters of gross floor space which is rented by Deutsche Lufthansa AG and sublet to its subsidiaries Lufthansa Systems and Lufthansa Industry Solutions. Lufthansa Industry Solutions is headquartered in Norderstedt and has 200 employees in Raunheim. A cafeteria with around 300 seats and a parking garage with roughly 400 parking places have been built on the property across from the building. The cafeteria, which is operated by the Lufthansa subsidiary LZ Catering and can be used by other companies at Airport Garden, is located in the historical building that once housed the Resart-Ihm leather factory.

“At Airport Garden we benefit from good transport connections and close proximity to the airport, which gives us access to the headquarters of the Lufthansa Group and our around 300 airline customers worldwide,” said Olivier Krüger, CEO of Lufthansa Systems.

Employees will start moving into the main building this week, as planned.

The new address is: Lufthansa Systems GmbH & Co. KG, Am Messeplatz 1, 65479 Raunheim. An official opening party for all employees is planned for early March 2018, after the move is complete.
