Zurich, Switzerland – 23 April 2012 – LOT Polish Airlines has signed an agreement with Aviaso for the deployment of a comprehensive software solution to help LOT achieve the efficiency goals of their fuel efficiency project.

The software tool developed by Aviaso provides a full range of data analysis, reporting, and monitoring tools to help airlines save fuel and reduce emissions. By actively managing its fuel efficiency project and with the implementation of the new software, LOT is aiming to reduce fuel cost and emission footprint by an estimated 3-5 percent annually.

“After a careful evaluation process, the Aviaso software tool perfectly matched our scope of requirements,” said Sander de Moor, Chief – Fuel Efficiency Project, LOT Polish Airlines. “High flexibility in customization, a sound IT implementation process and excellent business value in terms of process, offer and conditions were the main criteria for choosing Aviaso.”

The fuel conservation software from Aviaso includes more than 100 ready-made analysis reports. These reports allow an airline to thoroughly understand the fuel consumption and to identify potential fuel savings. Furthermore, the Aviaso solution not only identifies the fuel savings, but also helps in really achieving these savings by rigorously monitoring the various fuel savings initiatives for each and every flight.

“Aviaso is delighted to work with LOT Polish Airlines on their Fuel Efficiency Project,” said Rudolf Christen, CEO, Aviaso Inc. “We are confident that our software will provide the tools for the successful reduction of fuel consumption and environmental footprint for LOT.”
