LAM Mozambique Selects Alkym

Yet another African Flag carrier has decided that Alkym is the most cost effective maintenance management solution on the market.  Today Volartec are proud to welcome LAM Mozambique Airlines into the ever increasing Volartec customer community.

The intensive selection process allowed LAM to consider all the options on the market with focus on a user friendly, leading edge technology delivered at a competitive price.  Through the system presentations to on-site customer visits and commercial flexibility Alkym came out as the clear winner. LAM Mozambique Airlines have elected to take on the complete Alkym version 6.1 system which includes 18 modules. They will have a license for 15 concurrent users to allow them benefit the productivity gains envisaged.

The Technical Director with LAM Mozambique Airlines, Mr Pascoal Bernardo was on hand to state “Alkym is a strategic selection for us. The ability to realize the efficiency within our maintenance management was a core value. Our aim is to be able to achieve significant savings due to better decision making in this area”

LAM Mozambique Airlines (Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique) is the flag carrier of Mozambique as was established in 1936 as DETA a division of the local Railways Company. Later in 1980 it was renamed LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (TM). It operates from its main hub at Maputo International Airport. With plans for fleet expansion in 2016 it currently operates 7 aircraft consisting of B737, Dash 8 and Embraer 190.
