Commsoft, a world leader in aviation engineering and maintenance systems, is pleased to announce that specialist charter operator, JetGo Australia, has selected OASES to support its planned introduction of Regular Public Transport (RPT/ Part 121) flights.

Providers, since 2012, of ad hoc charter and Fly In Fly Out services for major resource development projects in Australia, JetGo has traditionally contracted out its CAMO operations but plans to bring them in-house for its RPT operations and has embedded OASES within its RPT approval applications.

Designed to combine ease of use with a state-of-the-art technical sophistication, OASES is structured in a modular format and JetGo has signed a 5 concurrent users, 5-year contract which incorporates the Airworthiness, Planning, Core and Materials modules. It is also anticipated that OASES will be integrated with SkyNet, a satellite-based operations system.

Currently operating a number of Embraer 135s, JetGo plans to expand this fleet as its RPT services expand.

Nick Godwin, MD of Commsoft, commented:

“We’re delighted that JetGo has opted for OASES, in the face of some tough local competition, for the support of the Embraers it will be using for its planned regular passenger services. The fact that JetGo has incorporated its intended use of OASES within its application for RPT approvals is also a gratifying vote of confidence in both OASES and Commsoft as a company.”

Barry Maunder, Head of Airworthiness & Maintenance Control for JetGo Australia, added:“Although we already know that we have the managerial and staff expertise to expand JetGo’s range of services, we are effectively undertaking two new ventures – the introduction of regular passenger flights and the launch of an in-house CAMO service. That’s why we wanted to be certain that we chose an MRO IT system that would meet the highest standards of technical sophistication and reliability, could be implemented easily and would also be sufficiently flexible to ‘grow with us’. After taking a close look at the MRO IT market, we decided that Commsoft’s OASES best fitted the bill.”
