Gogo 2Ku now live on Gol – installs are now over 15 planes on 4 different airlines!

October 4, 2016 – Today marks a huge milestone for Gogo as we’ve just turned on the fourth airline to be flying with our 2Ku technology. As you can see from the “hump” towards the back of the plane above, we’ve outfitted this aircraft with super-fast 2Ku Wi-Fi. Gol is flying their CEO and other dignitaries on the flight today heading to Brasilia.

This GOL plane is the first on their fleet to be equipped with 2Ku, and many more will follow. Additionally, we have over 15 aircraft around the world outfitted with 2Ku, including AeroMexico, Delta and Virgin Atlantic. By the end of 2016, that number will be over 75, with an additional 350 in 2017.

Other airlines who have signed up for 2Ku include American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, KLM and Air France. With these airline commitments, 2Ku is currently scheduled for installation on over 1300 planes, making it not just one of the fastest in-flight connectivity products when it comes to performance, but also one of the fastest selling inflight communication products ever sold.
