July 11, 2016 – AvioVision, a Belgium-based EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) software provider is proud to announce that it has signed an EFB software agreement with Finnair, the largest airline of Finland and the fifth oldest airline in the world with uninterrupted existence.
Aviobook is a user-friendly, comprehensive EFB software suite containing multiple operational applications and capable of running on tablets, laptops or onboard installed equipment. The software has been approved in 14 countries, allows a complete paperless flight operation and is augmented with a robust back-end administration tool.
Pekka Helenius, Head of Flight Support at Finnair, explains: ā€¯Finnair was looking for software to move from paper operational flight plan to Electronic Flight Bag application. Parallel we were also studying ways to enhance reporting. We combined OFB and Reporting projects and selected Aviobook after we evaluated what was available on the market. Aviobook has also other EFB modules available to expand in the future.”
“AvioVision is extremely proud to welcome Finnair, a leading Nordic carrier, as its customer and is looking forward to start the implementation soon. We are excited to work with their motivated and experienced team towards a successful EFB implementation and a paperless flight deck. Finnair is without a doubt a reference carrier in the region and will be a great addition to our customer base”, says Kris Van den Bergh, CEO of AvioVision.
