International Flight Support (IFS) is pleased to announce that Fastjet Zimbabwe, an award-winning regional low-cost carrier, has selected EFBOne as its Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) platform.

Following a structured evaluation and transition process, Fastjet Zimbabwe has introduced EFBOne across its Embraer 145 fleet to replace its legacy EFB system. The migration marks a key operational milestone as the airline upgrades its digital cockpit environment with a platform custom-configured to its specific flight operations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
About Fastjet Zimbabwe
Founded in 2015, Fastjet Zimbabwe is a regional carrier headquartered in Harare. Connecting major domestic hubs like Harare, Bulawayo, and Victoria Falls with international destinations in South Africa, the airline has flown over four million passengers to date. Beyond establishing itself as a trusted regional brand offering a range of value-added services, Fastjet Zimbabwe holds IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration, highlighting its adherence to international safety and operational standards.
Evaluation, Integration and Implementation
The evaluation and onboarding process was led by Donald Kawara, Director of Flight Operations at Fastjet Zimbabwe, and his team, who managed the platform’s operational deployment in close cooperation with IFS.
Having already operated with digital cockpit tools, Fastjet Zimbabwe approached the project as a targeted capability upgrade. Key criteria centered on system compatibility, expanded functionality, and gaining independent control over daily workflow configurations without relying on vendor-side change requests for routine adaptations.
“At Fastjet, we were looking for more than just an EFB solution: we were looking for a partner that shares our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement. EFBOne stood out through its versatile functionality, clean integration with our existing EFB tools, and a flexible approach to customizing the platform to our operational needs.
The onboarding process has been smooth, with the EFBOne team providing outstanding communication and a support team that has always been on hand to promptly address our questions. As we continue our journey towards a fully paperless flight deck, we look forward to leveraging the platform to further enhance safety, efficiency, and the digital experience for our flight crews.”
