Shannon Ireland. February, 2012 // Today Ceiba Intercontinental Airlines based in Equatorial Guinea have completed the on-site phase of the Alkym implementation. The onsite project was started in early January 2012 and involved a Project Team of three highly experienced personnel from Volartec working with the Ceiba team to ensure overall success. The duration of the project was completed in just 5 weeks with the GO LIVE phase carried out on week four.

Pablo Alves, Maintenance Director with Ceiba Intercontinental, heralded a “new era in the short life of the national flag carrier.” He went on to say “The flexibility shown to push back the onsite project to meet our operational and logistical requirement set the tone for us with Volartec. We knew they wanted to work with us from the get go. However even then we were beyond satisfied with the project team that came to ensure we got the best from Alkym. They worked around the clock and seemed to find a solution to every obstacle we encountered.”

John Barry VP Business Development with Volartec stressed the importance of the customer support service that would be provided now the onsite phase was complete. “We will ensure that support is continued with Ceiba like we do with all our customers. Keeping every customer updated and assisting them to ensure they maximise the value of Alkym in their organisation is important.” John continued to give an example of the redesign of the Volartec website as a good example in this regard. This portal is one method that existing customers have access to up to date information on Alkym.

Through the home page of www.volartec.aero the customers can access an improved library of documents pertaining to Alkym. This includes access to Guidance Material, instruction Guides and other documents in a simple to use format to any of the solutions that Volartec has to offer. Very soon the new version 5 material will be uploaded to this area.

For potential customers that wish to see what all the fuss is about and why Alkym is the fastest growing software in the market Volartec have ensured the comprehensive re-launch of the web site gets that message out there. The design features, a completely new appearance and many functional improvements in addition to higher speed, visitors can now access more detailed information about ALKYM, Management and Control System for Aircraft Maintenance. The new look website now also includes a brief introductory video.
