The Board of Directors of AVTECH Sweden AB (publ) (“AVTECH” or “The Company”)
today communicates the following business update:

AVTECH Sweden AB starts SIGMA service delivery to BRA – Braathens Regional Airlines

TUE, NOV 14, 2017 – BRA – Braathens Regional Airlines, Sweden’s largest regional airline operator, has chosen AVTECH, as previously communicated, as partner for its ongoing evaluation of systems that improve information given to pilots on turbulence and other weather phenomena that may affect a flight.

AVTECH has a unique capacity to process and deliver weather information disseminated from the most advanced forecasts, directly to pilots and airlines. The forecasts, based on the high-resolution meteorological models produced by Met Office (UK), allows the Aventus SIGMA service to inform pilots in detail of areas of turbulence, ice formation, volcanic ashes, etc. Such information is an essential tool when pilots need to navigate around areas containing weather phenomena that may affect safety of a flight.

After a period of intense and partly complex development work together with BRA-Braathens Regional Airlines, we now start delivering the service to BRA´s pilots.

“Development of the SIGMA service has been stable, even though some parts of the system has taken a longer time to develop than expected” says Sören Skog, AVTECHSs marketing director. “The first phase is now concluded and we move over to bring the pilots an ongoing access to SIGMA’s detailed forecasts. BRA-Braathens Regional Airlines are therefore the first airline to put SIGMA in operation. We look forward to our continued work of improving SIGMA further” He concludes.

The cooperation is, as previously communicated, expected to have a marginal effect on
AVTECH’s financial results for 2017.
