ATP’s Breakthrough Aircraft Centricity™ Service Consolidates Applicable Maintenance-Related Info With Single Tail Number Search
Innovation Boosts Productivity, Accuracy and Safety by Effortlessly Integrating Complete Set of Airworthiness and Reference Content for Specific Aircraft
EBACE — GENEVA — May 22, 2017 — Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) — the trusted partner of aviation manufacturers, operators and maintenance providers — today announced the Aircraft Centricity™ Service at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2017) in Geneva. A breakthrough approach in business aviation to managing maintenance-related content, Aircraft Centricity™ consolidates and streamlines the display of available information for an aircraft with a single tail number search. By providing rapid and convenient access to the most comprehensive set of airworthiness and reference content for a specific aircraft, ATP’s new product innovation helps MROs and maintenance professionals access information with unprecedented speed while ensuring high levels of safety and compliance through accurate determination of document effectivity.
Aircraft Centricity™ — a new set of features within the industry leading ATP Aviation Hub™ cloud solution — interconnects data from manufacturers, regulatory agencies, and other third parties to ensure maintenance providers have streamlined access to the most current information for the maintenance they are about to perform. With a single tail number search, Aircraft Centricity™ from ATP gathers and organizes maintenance-related documentation and maintenance information applicable to a specific aircraft, which can include: manufacturer service manuals and parts catalogs, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and regulatory information, due lists, maintenance and compliance tracking history and forecasting.
ATP’s innovative Aircraft Centricity™ approach is a powerful extension to the ATP Aviation Hub solution, an integrated suite of “smart content” services that optimizes information management among maintenance providers, owner/operators, and manufacturers. The Aircraft Centricity™ service leverages the company’s expertise and large repository of proprietary data, deep relationships with leading aviation manufacturers and professionals, and the company’s sophisticated software. ATP’s industry-leading software enables maintenance professionals to seamlessly manage their end-to-end maintenance processes: maintenance planning; reactive troubleshooting; reliability analytics; document control; maintenance tracking and more. This holistic approach has the end effect of helping owners protect aircraft valuation by ensuring regulatory compliance.
“For years, aviation maintenance professionals have envisioned a day when they could simply enter in a tail number in order to pull up and integrate all of the relevant reference content and airworthiness tracking information for all the components of an aircraft instead of spending so much time gathering, organizing, and reviewing it all,” said Charles Picasso, who took the helm as ATP’s new CEO in 2015 to lead the company into a new era of growth. “We’re proud to deliver on that vision with our ground-breaking Aircraft Centricity™, which will not only dramatically boost productivity, but will also ensure the highest levels of accuracy, safety and compliance.”
For the first time, ATP has integrated data drawn from the FAA Aircraft Registration database into the ATP Aviation Hub solution, which displays the major component configuration such as airframe, engine, propeller, tires, and brakes to create a profile for a specific aircraft “as-built.” By simply entering an aircraft’s registration number, users can quickly create an ATP Aviation Hub profile of the components on a specific aircraft. Profiles are further customized using smart drop down lists that define available manufacturers and models —
along with their component configuration to create the “as-maintained” configuration specific to an individual aircraft.
Based on preliminary user experiences and testing, this new aircraft centric approach is expected to dramatically improve productivity for MROs and aviation maintenance professionals. By consolidating time-consuming preparation research tasks into a single, comprehensive search, ATP Aircraft Centricity™ enables maintenance professionals to get only relevant maintenance information with minimal effort. By shrinking maintenance cycle times, owners/operators and fleets can quickly return aircraft to service and significantly boost utilization rates.
Significantly, this new product innovation is expected to boost accuracy and minimize errors by giving maintenance professionals the confidence that they are utilizing only the relevant and most current information for a specific aircraft — from OEM manuals and service bulletins to maintenance and compliance tracking. This, in turn, supports improved safety and minimizes the risk of costly regulatory fines for non-compliance.
ATP’s Aircraft Centricity™ is available to current ATP Aviation Hub subscribers. The ATP Aviation Hub cloud application uniquely enables customers to intelligently manage airworthiness and uptime, improve speed and accuracy of maintenance, detect failure trends for enhanced equipment performance, and improve operations, while decreasing operating costs.
