Le Fauga – 2013, October 24th – Air Méditerranée has signed a partnership with Open Airlines to install SkyBreathe® Fuel Efficiency, an innovative software solution which will reduce its carbon footprint and save fuel.
The solution developed by Open Airlines will allow Air Méditerranée to save from 2% to 4% on its fuel consumption.
SkyBreathe® Fuel efficiency analyzes extensive data on each phase of flights and provides detailed guidance to optimize the fuel consumption.
The software has been deployed at Air Méditerranée at the end of 2013.
With an increase in its scheduled flights, this partnership is part of Air Méditerranée’s energy efficiency project. For the Winter season, Air Méditerranée will propose scheduled flights from 7 French cities to 14 destinations in 8 countries, in addition to its leisure flights.
