Shannon, Ireland. August 2013// Yet another flag carrier has selected Alkym Management and Control System for Aircraft Maintenance to manage their modern growing fleet. RwandAir recently selected Volartec as their preferred provider after a rigorous selection process.  

With their fleet being modernized and expanded over the past 12 months Rwandair took the opportunity to examine how they could best manage those assets. The process of inviting 10 software providers to tender for the provision of services was undertaken post an initial market review.

The Rwandair project committee consisted of a very experienced team with a variety of skills and background to look at the options available. Early in the process they identified the level of sophistication needed in a complete solution which was not to be compromised. This was a process they did not feel should be revisited.

Rwandair have decided to take 13 of the available Alkym Modules from the outset. The project will get under way towards the end of August with a 5 week on site phase. The preliminary work is already underway.
